Right… and Richard Madden would have been nice too.

They did get Harrington and Keoghan though.

I would say by UD standards, this is actually a pretty phenomenal checklist.
Hayek just did a signing so kind of surprising (actually it’s UD so not really) that she was not included as a signer. Jolie was never gonna happen.

Harrington, Keoghan, Skarsgard and Chan are all great adds though. Especially Chan IMO.

I’m thinking Disney might use the current writers strike as an excuse to can plans for Eternals 2 without admitting they totally screwed up and got cocky thinking they could make any Marvel property a hit. Literally no one I know was ever a fan of Eternals comics (it was post-New Gods Kirby and I wouldn’t even want to see a New Gods movie but at least they are cool in comics). Also haven’t met any one that liked the Eternals movie beyond maybe an “eh… it wasn’t that bad.”

It is a good list. And they were long shots, it wasn't impossible, as both Jolie and Hayek have signed cards before, for "Tomb Raider" and "Wild, Wild West", respectively. Those were on-card, too, and a sheet of stickers would be even easier.

Looks like they weren't allowed to use Angelina Jolie by name. She's on the checklist as the character "Thena" though.

There are enough actors on the auto checklist to make it good though. Salma or Jolie would've made it great. Both would've been epic.

Angelina Jolie signed for Tomb Raider....Salma Hayek signed for Wild Wild West...so they obviously weren't opposed to signing trading cards at some point. Probably just too expensive.

Eternals made $402 million, which puts it above quite a few Marvel movies...but it's definitely not a popular Marvel comic book and not a movie the fans ever asked for. Kind of like Inhumans...Marvel keeps trying to make them a thing, but they have never been popular with fans.

Of course, Guardians of the Galaxy was never that popular and that became a huge franchise which in turn made the Guardians comic books big sellers.

I find it interesting that they are advertising it as one film cel and one serial number per box. How rare are those autos?

It doesn't even look like they used an images of her character. The "Thena" cards in the insert set are a cloudy representation and a silhouette. If the movie is licensed, doesn't make sense that they can't use her still shots from the movie.
Another set without a guaranteed auto in a box. I bought one and get a film cel, an acetate card (SP), and card to /299. Probably the last. Tried to watch the movie again tonight and gave up. It's awful.

i do not know if it is the case with her or not, but i know in the past some actors/actresses have held the rights to their name and image and the cards could not use them without their permission.

I like that these fall under group B. Hopefully they’re plentiful enough to be decently affordable.

EI1-GC Gemma Chan as Sersi B
EI1-KH Kit Harington as Dane Whitman B
EI2-KH Kit Harington as Dane Whitman "Black Knight" B

I ended up purchasing 10 packs total in quantities of 2 and got 3 red flashes:

Pack 1 - Gemma Chan as Sersi Film Cel Tier 4 (1:482)
Pack 2 - David Kaye as Arishem the Judge Eternal Regard (1:61)
Pack 9 - Don Lee as Gilgamesh Film Cel Auto (1:554)

I bought 12 packs total. Just kept going until I got a “hit” which was a parallel # to 299. I also got a tier 1 film cell on the last pack, but it didn’t have a red flash. Guess it’s not really a hit? Anyways, waste of $100.
