Default 2023 Leaf Pop Century

I just saw on twitter some preview cards with some new possible signers like Elizabeth Olsen, Chris Pratt, Jessica Alba, Dan Aykroyd, Cara Delevingne, Andrew Garfield and my personal favorite…. Macaulay Culkin!

I can't see them because they blocked me for questioning why they rely on sticker autos.

I have loved POP since the very beginning! (way back when it was RAZOR Pop Century!)

But, like my rent, it goes up in price every single year and it is really hard to justify buying it anymore! 3 Autos and a silly Relic per box (or a ticket stub...bad idea!)

Let's get back to the paper stock Autos (not Chrome) and bring down the price and eliminate the Relics (and the ticket stubs...bad idea!)

Exactly

Most collectors are completely priced out.

But it's not like you can get it anyway - all the distributors vacuum it up as quickly as possible and then add a "buyers premium"

I used to love this product but stopped a few years back. The value just isn’t there.

I can deal with chrome but the cracked ice versions make the cards really hard to look at.

I ripped last years, sold the big ticket autos, trickled out the rest above market, and held some. It was good even at the higher price. Though I should have sold the mystery cut instead of redeeming

BG Promised me in 2013 at the National in Chicago that by 2015 that all of pop century would be on card autos.
I haven't bought a leaf product after 2015.

Single autos are always super cheap, so not sure why anyone would want to buy boxes anyway. Most autos are in the $5-20 range. The handful of autos that are $100+, you are better off just buying them as singles than buying a case to hit one.

Brian Gray used to be insufferable to watch. Looks like things haven't changed.

To him everyone is the biggest, the hottest, the best.

I have to assume they send out checklists to all the main sites like Cardboard Connection. I can't imagine someone having to sit through this and transcribe names.

Hopefully, some new names, but won't be buying much, price point is too much nowadays

"Joe Pistone signed & he's in witness protection!!" Brian announcing this stuff is hilarious..

Their cost is 30% higher this year mainly because of Clint but box price should be close to last year's pricing..

Ridiculous. He'd be one of the least desirable autos for many of us. Very sad that they'd have to overpay to acquire them.

I wonder how many of the gold 1/1s and the NSCC versions (if they do them this year) will end up in the hands of everyone's favorite Aussie

I may get a single or two from someone but I will never give Brian Gray another dime directly.

He was on a Whatnot trying to get bids on autos from a baseball player who he flat out said to get now because he's nearly dead. Had the player known his autos would be sold that way I imagine he never would have signed for Gray.

Can't stand his politics but that aside, Clint is a Hollywood legend. To me, that might be the biggest get Leaf have ever had in a Pop Century set. I'd be over the moon to land one if I bought a box, which I'm not given that Clint has been doing more and more private signings and I'm sure I could get a custom card made and signed on card for less than his Pop Century cards will go for.

Clint is a huge get for sure. Hopefully they can figure out a way to use his "Man With No Name" image as the card photo instead of some stock red carpet shot; that would be a hugely desirable card. (Although I'm sure Leaf's hands are tied greatly here.)

Since (in my opinion) Leaf's last wrestling release was disappointing, their Pop Century set to me is the last set they have that is particularly unique and desirable. They really do put effort into getting good signers, I can't knock them for that. I am afraid they may price me out from getting too many but I am sure I'll get at least a box or two.

Yea Price point is tough but I do respect the gets on the auto's. Is this Clint's first autograph card? I'm seeing Chris Pratt, Jessica Alba and a few other great names.
