Default Here’s a great fake patch card on eBay and it’s certified by eBay too

https://www.ebay.com/itm/35468105958...mis&media=COPY

Not sure how a 2006 card of Ickey Woods can have a game worn swatch with a patch from the 2006 Super Bowl in it. Especially since he’d been out of the league for 15 years by then. The others I have seen of this card have been very basic/boring swatches either all white or with Bengal stripes. Such a shame someone ruined a /5 card to make a clearly bogus patch card. And I love how eBay certified it too.

I don't think it has been authenticated yet....that happens after the sale.

Ah, got ya. I was under the impression the authenticity guarantee meant it had been. But I’d very interested to see if they do certify it. There’s no way it’s a legit card.

unfortunately they probably will.

most tpgs do not "authenticate" a patch / swatch, they just grade the card.

If sold, it will probably pass authenticity and the buyer will receive this message:

We wanted to let you know that your item was authenticated, but also contains an after-market signature or embedded relic that we don’t authenticate as part of our process. We stand behind the authenticity of your item, but we can’t guarantee things like relics, memorabilia, or autographs added after the fact. If you have any questions or concerns, please just get in touch. We’re here to help.

Didnt ickey woods take back the opening kickoff of the 2006 super bowl for a TD? or was that someone else?

Counterpoint, the Ickey Shuffle will never retire and all TDs are derivative from Mr. Woods. For all we know, Emmitt Smith's yards record, Tom Brady's Super Bowls, and the health of Patrick Mahomes shoulder are all thanks to the groundwork of Elbert L. Woods. Any and all patches post-1991 are worn by him in spirit.

The patch is actually from Super Bowl 28, but Ickey Woods has no connection to that Super Bowl either.

Counter to your counterpoint.

Elmo Wright was the first player to celebrate his TDs with a dance. He started that in 1973 when he played for the Chiefs. Ickey would have been 6 years old at the time.

Billy “White Shoes“ Johnson was the one to take it main stream though. Also more than a decade before Woods was even drafted.

Thighmaster missed out on a marketing opportunity here. I mean, he's still alive, so I guess they could still use him...
