Default 2022 Contenders FOTL

No thread but started one - chances that Contenders FOTL hits the floor at $300 (which would be a not terrible price honestly)

this could actually be a good product if they didn't do the stupid non numbered red zone auto parallels. serial number these to under 25 and it would be awesome.

my prediction $360-$370 (wherever the exact drop is)

Hobby pre-sale was $450...

This should sell-out (umm, get pulled) between $464 and $473

One of the main guys to chase after was literally the last pick of the draft. And he's out for at least 6 months and might not start when he returns.

Long term maybe someone emerges but short term, this isn't desirable, esp. at these price points.

Just the Red Zone. No argument from me, both are over-priced.

I had to do that math...

$466.67

Breakers need their crack to peddle, and the collusion will make it so!

Just guessing of course (would love to see it hit the floor and sit)

These products are being priced presale at prices no one will pay to prop up FOTL to "sell out" higher than it should virtually every time. If Contenders was priced at $300, FOTL sells out at $300.

2022 Limited Football presale is $350. Who would possibly pay that right now? They probably have not sold a single box at that price. But they have no incentive whatsoever to sell it. Their cost is $117 a box. There are several recent 2021 Limited hobby box sales on ebay between $250-$300. One less than 2 weeks ago for $250. It's $300 on dealernet. 2021 Limited FOTL is so in demand not a single box sold the last 3 months on ebay. Why would anyone pay more money for 2022?

Contenders IS priced at $425-450, FOTL DID sell out at $383...

My head (and wallet) has been out of the wax game since 2019... but my heart wants to believe that the chinks in the armor are starting to break through and the racket is almost up.

Still gonna be awhile, but today was nice to see!

No it's just how overpriced Contenders hobby was. Same with Obsidian. Prizm FOTL still sold out above hobby presale. If prices for 2022 are where they should be compared to 2021, FOTL will sell out the same or higher. Prizm was priced well below what 2021 was selling at. With as high of a FOTL count as any FOTL product Prizm sold above presale. Presale on Obsidian, Contenders, and Limited all above where 2021 is selling. The 2 of the 3 that have been auctioned sold out multiple drops below. If you check market value for products that have been out for awhile 2021 is outselling 2022 on everything.

Nothing 2022 should have a presale price at or above 2021. Yet they are pricing it that way. Bums have no incentive to sell. Whether you like it or not, Prizm is one of the hottest products of the year. 2022 Prizm hobby is selling for 60% of what 2021 is selling for. Why would anyone pay at or above 2021 price for the 2022 version of any hobby product? Im talking breakers as well. Wouldn't you get more interest in breaking at the same or lower cost the same 2021 product as 2022?

The worst thing that happened for buyers of 2022 football wax was Brock Purdy. Bums are pricing all new 2022 with the assumption Purdy is in every product when he hasn't been in a bunch of them. If you want hobby or FOTL at release you have to buy it with no clue what the checklist will be.
