Fun stuff!

For those of you who are not as nerdy about Transcendent as I am - note that in addition to the Kumar Rocker and Druw Jones auto cards that were produced exclusively for the VIP party attendees, all of those other Transcendent cards in the photo above are cards that were NOT included in the actual Transcendent cases that were sold and ripped. Not as in, "leftover cards because they only needed 30x100 autos to pack out but they produced more than that," but as in "there were no [Hedbert Perez][Arol Vera][etc.] auto cards packed out in the product at all, they weren't even on the checklist." These party swag bags turned out to be the only way to get these guys' cards - so they are likely to be pretty scarce, compared to cards from the released product with the same serial numbering, as a lot of the attendees will presumably hold onto them.

I'm guessing these were cards that got returned to Topps by the players too late to be packed out? They have the same back as the normal Transcendent cards, with a blurb about the player (as opposed to the Kumar/Druw cards, which just say "Congratulations you've received a VIP party card," etc.). Seems like Topps sent out cards for autos to more players than they needed, and then just created the checklist out of the first 41 guys who got their cards returned (plus JRod and Wander as redemptions because people would have rioted if they were left out), and then held onto the late returns to give away at the party.

In any event - cool stuff. Congrats in advance to everyone who hits them.

Very cool info, my guess is that they normally would've just held them out till next year but they are planning to discontinue this product for the time being so instead gave them out that way.
