Cool Colin Kaepernick - New Book -

I saw Colin has a new book coming out and there is a signed one out here - https://talkshop.live/watch/0Tf2AVEaeQA3 - this is like his 3rd book I think. Will it be good or worth it? Some of the other items of his i have all hold their value well. thoughts?

LOL!

Context. If anyone was ever curious what it would be like to spend money on a 400+ page message board rant in paperback form, it exists.

More proof there is a mental health crisis in this country. Although they may have been Canadian, I can't recall all the details, the whole thing was weird.

I just bought two graded Kap rookies.

I watched his show and felt the messaging was… a bit confusing at times… but everyone has a journey. Maybe I was not the intended audience?

I love reading Niner related books, but I love the ones based around FOOTBALL. Not politics. Will have to see what the content is.

“Colin isn’t excited about baseball. In the words of five-time all-star MLB player Adam Jones, “Baseball is a white man’s game.” Colin looks up to athletes like Allen Iverson: talented, hyper-competitive, unapologetically Black, and dominating their sports while staying true to themselves. College football looks a lot more fun than sleeping on hotel room floors in the minor leagues of baseball. But Colin doesn't have a single offer to play football. Yet.”

Aren’t we all glad Tiger Woods didn’t take this moron’s approach.

I’m sure it can’t be worse than his offering calling for the abolishment of prisons though so it has that going for it:

His message loses 55% efficacy since ditching the afro.

I ain't trying to hear no Farrakhan sermon from the dominican loitering the bodega steps in east Harlem.

I loved watching him play.

Politically, I think his point of view is obscured by his “provocateur approach”. But he’s entitled to his opinion. If I disliked every musician, artist, or athlete for their personal views I wouldn’t be fans of anyone.

I haven’t read his books but I’m not opposed to it either. But I prefer the football-driven stories. NINER football-driven stories.

I get there’s a lotta hate for the guy at this point.

Absolutely. I think he’s a brainwashed idiot who exploited his perceived hardships into tremendous financial gain but it’s not like he’s the worst person that people collect or enjoyed watching perform, play, etc. Hell there’s a Muhammad Ali thread on this very forum 8 pages deep of people fan girling over his autos and memorabilia and this is a guy who had a child with a 16 year old when he was 34, allegedly had a sexual relationship with a 12 year old, and generally treated people like garbage.

i was a big fan of Kaepernick, and still am. i don't agree with everything he says or does, i think at some point, he realized that not playing football was bigger and more beneficial to him than playing football, which is kinda sad, because it shows he wasn't into the game anymore.

this isn't Eddie and Crusiers type of stuff, this dude just basically quit football on his own, and was then blackballed out of the NFL. but he would have made a splash in the XFL or whatever other league popped up, but he chose not too.

at least Manziel gave it a shot.

I think the bigger proof of a mental health crisis is that there are 34 reviews of this book that are 'verified purchases'.

One can't rule out the author buying a couple dozen copies to give to acquaintances.

He must have paid them too, because the majority of the reviews are......good?

I just wish Ali was still here so he could issue a series of NFTs featuring himself.

Can you elaborate on what this means?

I don't know what Bowman Chrome University Football did to you, but you've been absolutely on fire for the past month.

After the darkness that is poopnini, Topps is the balm that cures all. After opening my boxes, I can play the clarinet! FloridaCardGuy's limp is gone, and my LCS owner looks 10 years younger!!!

It's been several months when are we going to get that Kaepernick is going to hold another workout to try to get back into the NFL. Seems has to be done once or twice a year so he can stay in the media spotlight.
