I pulled a redemption for a Christian Yelich Modern Artists Autograph Parallel out of Gallery last Summer and Topps is now asking if I want to request a replacement. I know this is just a sticker auto and isn't a super high dollar card, but I think these are at least numbered /25.
Should I go ahead and accept the request or hold off? I've seen people have complaints with Topps replacements on high end redemptions, but what about for low/mid-end redemptions? Thanks! |

I got asked on a Kwan /25 from 2022 update (baseball stars).
I accepted because the Kwan I was never going to keep (0%) and even 0.1% chance of getting a keeper is better than 0%. But I agree, entirely up to you OP. |

SELL redemption cards! Dont be the guy left holding the bag. You gambled and won on ripping. Why gamble again w/ Topps' customer service and redemption departments? Be smart. Even if you want that players auto...sell the redemption and just buy an already in hand auto of that same player from a different set/year.

So Topps asked you if you wanted a replacement? Did they ask you who you collect at all? I’m just curious because I’ve been asking for a UFC auto replacement since 2018. For some reason they are hesitant to replace this. Instead they sent me a Topps care package about a year ago. I recently asked them about this, and 5 Baseball case hits that I have pending. I want the MLB cards that I’m waiting for. They told me in a recent email that I can ask for replacements on 2 of the MLB, but they are trying to evaluate a price on the UFC card. So weird. The MLB are all keepers for me. They also gave me the same message they have since 2018, that they are working on it but have many redemptions to fulfill.

I appreciate all the feedback. I ended up asking for a replacement on the Yelich. Hopefully the replacement card isn’t terrible.

They didn’t reach out to me. I just checked my redemptions page and there was a link asking if I wanted to request a replacement.

I went in to add to my list of redemptions and there was a button on the Kwan asking if I'd take a sub. I think there is like a 6 month clock (that's a guess) and for whatever reason after a certain amount of time or some behind-the-scenes info on their side (maybe damaged cards returned from the player, I don't know) they just open up the option to the holder to replace the sub.
SupermanB has good financial advice, but me, I'm a collector, so my first priority is cards and I sell off what I don't want to keep, and for me, I gave topps the choice to replace my Kwan. I also don't buy or sell unredeemed redemptions; if I pull one, I redeem, then sell. But that's me, and this is not a business for me. |

I literally JUST got my Hunter Bishop orange, gold, and gold wave in the mail. These were redeemed in 2020. When I submitted them, they were worth about $1700 collectively. Now they are pretty much worthless. Its a true gamble. I asked numerous times to get a replacement and they wouldnt do it. Now I have a stack of 22 draft redemptions and I cannot bring myself to redeem them.

I had a redemption for a Pache 2021 Bowman's Best auto that I had asked for a replacement for. I settled on a card with them and I figured it should be shipped out soon. A few weeks go by and the Pache auto is still listed on my account with a request sub button. I reach out to the customer service rep I was talking to and she told me that the replacement is in the system but it will take 12 weeks before they send it out. Now I am confused, they offered me a card from a few years ago that they had in their system to send as a replacement and it is still going to take another 12 weeks? Also the button to request sub on the Pache auto is still there
The only other redemption I am waiting on is a Trout auto from 2022, has anyone received any Trout autos from 2022 |
