January Pickups

This is a hit or miss in other sports. The Baseball thread usually has many replies while not so much with the football thread. I hope to see people use this thread to show up their pickups for the month! I'll start with my first two pickups of the year

those are both beautiful. The Magic with the cutout design may be the most spectacular origami patch ever. Prolly under $50.

I hope this thread gains steam in 2023. I will throw my support behind it and post my mail day from yesterday. This is a major card for my signed RC PC. It also double dips and checks off a box for my signed 1961 Fleer set chase as well.

Thanks. Those were my thoughts as well. I'm trying to be more picky on my pickups this year. I'm going for quality over quantity.

Thanks for taking the plunge and starting this thread, I hope it picks up some traction because it's a great feature for a card forum! Two incredible cards to start us off. I love the vibrant blue on the magic, not to mention the crazy patches. Is that numbered /3?

A Timmy gold refractor is great as well, do you collect a lot of him?

Congratulations, I'm sure that's it's extremely difficult to get a 9 grade on a 90s die cut. Awesome start to the collecting year.

Nice Kidd auto! I've been really liking the early 2000's UD on card autos recently. Picked up a few 02-03 SPGU jersey autos.

My two pickups so far this year. Sorry, two separate posts because I'm posting from my phone:

I initially wanted to get the silver parallel of this Miller /25 but didn't really see much of a difference between that and the base /100. Not sure if anyone knows of a distinguishable difference.

Appreciate it! Definitely a big one for me and wasn't sure I would ever see it. I PC Duncan too (very, very little) so I like grabbing his cheap stuff too. Still haven't brought myself to pony up for any of his more expensive cards.
