A physical at the signing has never gotten so much attention as this one. See if a deal can finally be done. I mean I would think this one would be ok since the Twins already asked their questions and did their exam.

I wonder if any player has ever agreed to terms with three different teams in the offseason before.

Jon Heyman @JonHeyman
Sources: The major part of Correa’s physical is complete — including the ankle at issue — so there’s nothing foreseen to stop Correa’s return to the Twins

Honestly this has been an amazing saga to watch this offseason. Great entertainment as someone who isn't a fan of any of the three teams to have signed him.

If it's possible to be embarrassed about earning 270 million bucks, Correa has to be a little embarrassed about how this played out

Seems to be reasonable.

Sources tell The Post: Mets were willing to fully guarantee 6 years (at $157.5M) but the final 6 would have been only conditionally guaranteed. So Correa will make $42.5M more in first 6 with Twins. Mets and Correa couldn’t get past the language issue. Story to come at @nypost

He will be 34 when the contract is up I’m sure he’s figuring to make the 45 mil he missed then

The Twins have to look past the physical. Its the only way they're going to get top level talent. They can't attract the Judges, Sotos, Ohtanis, etc.

I'm not talking about the length of the contract, I'm talking about how the entire process played out

My hope is that he can finish his career as an Astro now

If Correa is truly healthy and everyone was worried about nothing, Correa will have his age 34-35-36 age seasons to cash in on down the road, and if he ages like Ripken, Jeter, ARod, possibly longer. And with MLB’s ever increasing salaries he’d easily net $15-$20M/year as a 2-3 WAR player on a 1 or 2 year deal as a minimum.

Medicine is more subjective than people realize.

One doctor can believe the sky is blue. The other can believe it is red.

Interested to see how this plays out.

I don't understand how not 1, but 2 teams can back out due to a physical, then team 3 comes in and says, "come on down" for a guaranteed $200M.
