Default BGS Order STOLEN in transit, BGS won't do anything!

I had a BGS order that was graded and shipped to me back in August via FedEx. The package arrived as a flimsy little empty box. The box showed a clear sign of being slit and re-taped (with a single piece of clear tape). I filed my own claim with FedEx, then BGS says they are filing their own claim so I cannot file a claim. (By FedEx rules, the shipper of the package, i.e. BGS, has the say in who gets to file the claim.) FedEx completed the claim process by sending a check to BGS back in September. Now it is November and I still haven't been updated or sent a check or anything from BGS.

Any advice what to do?

What kind of stupid negligent company sends a flimsy little box that's so easy to steal from, then receives a claim check from FedEx in September, and now it's almost December and they don't do anything for me at all? I call BGS and it goes to voicemail. Their email people aren't very responsive or helpful. What a garbage pile of a company. Take responsibility for your negligence!

You're probably going to want to get in touch with your regional rep.

In my experience the rep's at least know whats going on. The general phone number people were useless when trying to resolve an issue I had.

I’ve never had any issues with representatives responding. Most time within 24 hours, but I’ve been working with the customer service member for years.

I’ve also had my submissions returned in a sturdy cardboard with styrofoam on the outside. I re-use these boxes holding tons of graded cards for years.

sucks your order was stolen. Hope it gets resolved soon. I’d keep an eye out for those serial #’s online.

Fed Ex is the most corrupt courier I've encountered with internal theft happening so easily.

It all happens at the final destination Fed Ex hub where parcels are loaded into the delivery trucks for the next day.

The overnight employees are handling individual parcels and reading the destinations, then stacking them into the trucks.

These crooks use boxcutters and open parcels to remove items, sometimes replacing them with random items in the Fed Ex warehouse, that can include abandoned merchandise or garbage to give the illusion of product weight.

It's happening flagrantly in the Carson, California Fed Ex location as a fact.

It's not the sender's fault, not the Fed Ex dropoff, not the Fed Ex delivery person, not an incident of porch piracy.

Everyone knows what level of employee, their role and their tactics are.

Fed Ex will reply to complaints, then investigate the shifts, trucks and try to get granular on which employee could be the culprit, so it's worth reporting.

These thieves are known to read the "From" label and identify if it's Nike, Prada, or a sender of valued or luxury items, especially small items easy to pocket or steal.

The hardest part is, as the receiver, you can file a complaint but not much more. Any financial claims need to come from the "sender" not the receiver because that's the person with the Fed Ex relationship who sent the item and paid for the shipment (although you pay shipping, it's not your relationship, unless possibly you are using your own account number)

What was the declared value that you put in your submission?

Sue them in small claims court. It's really your only option. Jeromy Murray of BGS is a gigantic POS.
I hope you have done a chargeback on BGS since they lost your property and you did not receive the service you paid for.
