Does anyone know when Bowman Draft will be available for pre-order

Mid to late 2023, I'm guessing.

I wouldn't be surprised if they skip it. That gives them plenty of ammunition for 2023 and beyond. It might skyrocket the price of Bowman even further but would eliminate a lot of the filler crap that goes into these products to sustain three of them.

I don't see that happening. The masses need Draft.

Hopefully we'll be back on track next year. It's going to suck having Draft come out during Spring Training or later.

We are a Topps direct acct/Hobby shop (long time) and this was recently discussed. There had been talks that Topps might discontinue Bowman Draft, I don't see it happening, but you never know.

If they axed Bowman Draft and consolidated all the draft prospects into regular Bowman and Bowman Chrome, man. Those would be some hot products year in and year out.

I think it's unlikely it would be as hot as it could be. I still don't see them leaving money on the table. I think what they would likely do if they did axe Bowman Draft and consolidated the draft picks into Bowman and/or Bowman Chrome, would be to simply make up for it by increasing the print run of the boxes (to make up for what they lost by eliminating Draft) or increasing the box price or perhaps both.

Man, that would really suck. Bowman Draft is the best prospect product by far.

It really is. Keep with the current format, no reason to mess with something that works.

Is it though? Vladdy, Tatis, Alonso, bo bichette, dominguez, witt, jrod, Marco, Soto, wander…? I know some guys are held over that should/could be in draft but still seems the big international guys are in the other releases.

Forgot ohtani and acuna.

Alonso and Bichette are draft, but point taken.

It would be fine if the biggest cards were in other releases. The thing that makes Draft so sweet is you have a pretty good idea of what's going to be in it six months in advance because the checklist is pretty similar year after year. It is always going to be good at release. Plus it seems to have more 1st in general, every auto is a 1st, no vets, and better prospect names overall.

I'd also say the international scene has been where the best players have come from recently, but it isn't always like that. For example I remember when Trout and Harper and Bryant and Lindor and Correa...etc were all the rage. There's this guy named Judge who seems ok. It goes in cycles.

Close to 0% chance Draft is axed. Too much prestige.

A relative of a third rounder said he signed a ton of baseball cards. She doesn't know kuch about cards, but that he signed a bunch.

If they're discussing it, the chances are quite a bit higher than 0%. Now, I agree it makes zero sense.

My G-d ……. who’s making the Product Line decisions at Topps, Roy Munson?

As powerful as first chrome rookies are I could see them stopping draft and sprinkling them into other releases raising the value of other products.
