Unhappy NFL Network talk shows

I can't quite put my finger on it ... but there is just something off-putting about seemingly every talk show on NFL Network. Maybe it's the color schemes they use in studio. Maybe it's their hosts. Maybe it's wardrobe choices. Maybe it's overall direction and pacing. Maybe it's me. Whatever it is, it just doesn't feel like a sports show to me, and I end up switching the channel. Oh well.

Kay Adams leaving the NFL Network really upset the natural order of things

You're not wrong. There's something annoyingly dumbed down about NFL coverage - even these pregame talk shows - compared to the other sports.

I like the Kurt Warner / Rich Eisen / other guys combo on Sundays. But tune in to NFL Network on a random Tuesday... yikes

Most of the pregame experts are cringe.

NFL network with Mooch and Irvin. Warner is OK but has no personality.
ESPN - Ryan and Bruschi can also throw in Orla sky

CBS and Fox are better.

Warner is smart but looks odd. Have you seen his qb breakdowns on YouTube. They are solid but it looks like he did the editing himself

NFL Network Sunday night postgame was amazing when it had Deion and Rich Eisen with guys like Mooch, Irvin, and LaDainian. Now it's awful.

The good old days. I could have seen those highlights 5x earlier that Sunday, but watching that group made it feel like I was watching highlights I hadn't seen before.

Also, Football Night in America really went down the drain. Dan Patrick left was a big hit. Mike Florio is a weasel.

It's too scripted/produced/polished.

Not enough 'real' talk.

Agreed, all mainstream media is this way now. Narratives are pitched and topics are broken down into 4-5 minute soundbites. Really don't learn anything.
