Default Bulk is Back

Just thought I’d share. Hopefully it can go lower especially for commons and other cards for registry sets. I don’t understand why they can’t have something exclusively for that group.

Curious if this will extend to group submissions, feel like it would have to

25 card minimum (1995-or-older / 1996-present) per order direct, 120-150 calendar day estimated turnaround per IG post.

That probably means two months!

will be interesting to see if they get enough consistent volume to keep the 25 card minimum up long term. some of the other levels came back with a multi card minimum that eventually dropped off after they got a gauge of demand.

Agreed. I don't think any postal workers in Newport Beach are going to have to concern themselves with another deluge.

Guess they're trying to milk any new cards opened in the past month that missed the July special first before they drop this "bulk" price. Max declared value is $199.

They still have that annoying split @ 1995. I have 25 cards from both eras combined, but not individually. Why do they do it like that?

$22 is a bit high, and I'm not really motivated to go rip into my unopened junk wax stash to gem hunt.

i’ll add imo the value proposition is pretty poor when for $8 more i can get much faster turnaround, $300 higher dv and don’t have to submit 25 cards a pop. $22 doesn’t separate itself enough from $30 for me.

“faster turnaround” . Might as well sub at 22 and let them upcharge you

This is an atrocious option unless they close the $30 option

I don't think that they're going to get all that much interest in this outside of maybe a small surge at the beginning. Most things that are worth it at $22 for potentially, albeit probably not as long as listed, turnaround time, are probably worth it at $30 for a shorter turnaround, especially if they stick with the $199 DV.

If you're doing big #'s of cards, the $30 to $22 difference becomes a factor, but I can't imagine they don't drop down to the details of the National special in short time, or at the very least, consistently have "specials" that encompass pretty much everything

I'll add that my current stack of cards for PSA isn't moving with this announcement. Maybe I pick some of the better cards out and send at $30, but I remain convinced that PSA will have to at least drop down to $18 soon

Shockingly high price, I was thinking it would be $15. I can't imagine they can hold this level for long.

And it will be used by so many. Think about that. At a 6 month turnaround, will the cards be worth the $22 grading fee? There are a lot of $25/30 per card subs that are not worth that.

You are absolutely correct. I sent my bulk through PCSPORTSCARD at $30 with many going straight to consignment. If I am going to use PSA going forward, it will not be at their bulk slow turnaround times.

i don’t disagree that “let them up charge” is a viable strategy, turnaround time will be important though. I can submit NFL cards right now at $30 and get them back mid season, or submit at $22 and potentially get them back after the season is over if stated turnarounds hold.

They're being cautious so they don't over promise, that's all I'm getting from this. I fully expect them to beat those times, just as they've done with the other tiers opened up, so far.

I will wait for a special as 22.00 is just too high for me.
