Default DDearing / ABCSportscards at the 2022 National

I am in Atlantic City and excited to start setting up tomorrow. We have a full quad of booths at 2836, 2832, 2737 and 2733. We have more of everything compared to previous years, so our setup will look roughly like this:

150,000+ $1 cards, all sports - all sorted by team.
30,000(?) $4 cards, all sports - all sorted by team.
LOTS of wax - all cheaper than anywhere else on the planet - none of it is coming back to Florida with me. Don't ask me here what it is. I will not sell wax through this forum.
20 showcases of nicer stuff
10 boxes of cards (raw & Slabs) that are $8-50 - all priced as marked

Early on, we are not going to be able to get all the showcases out - there is just not enough space. I expect that many shop owners will be buying me out of wax pretty quickly and then we will be able to get all the showcases out.

We also have our repackage product that we will break at the table for people. It is called "Fourtuitous". Comes with 4 cards and is meant to be a hit draft. $150/spot with 4 spots. We will break, randomize and draft at the table. Typically spot 1 gets a card in the $200-300 range. Spot 2 usually getting their money back in value. I try to put around a $50 floor on spot 4.

We will also have Panini Silver Packs available (don't know prices yet), Topps National Packs (don't know prices yet) and Panini Fathers Day packs (probably $5).

We are also looking to buy the entire period of the show. We will have people at the booth just to comp cards and make offers. We will typically be offering in the 70-75% of comps range, depending on need. There will be some things that we are paying more for and some less.

Here is a smattering of the types of things that will be in the showcases.

Looking for Andre Dawson Serial numbered cards that are his jersey number - either #8 or #10. So looking for cards like 8/8 or 08/99 or 10/250.

Hey guys - just wanted to touch base on here and say thank you so much to all of my Blowout friends who have come by to say hello and hang out. We have been incredibly busy this year. The $1 and $4 boxes have been steady, averaging 15-20 people the entire show. They are all sorted by teams and people have really appreciated that.

We have bought LOTS of cards. Each night of the show so far I'm up until the wee hours of the morning pricing everything we bought during the day. Each day I've bought at least 2 2 row boxes jammed full of nice things. We are paying 70-80% of comps (depends on how much we need things). We also try to sell things as close to comps as we can, so you can imagine that our showcases are constantly turning over. We have about 15 showcases out, I have another 5 cases worth of showcase material that we haven't been able to get out yet and that doesn't count all the cool stuff we keep buying. If you don't see it at our table - please ask. We may have it somewhere else.

Wax sales have been good. Its mostly cheap wax that we are almost giving away. None of the wax is coming back to Florida with us, so it is priced aggressively. We've already had multiple shop owners come and borrow our dolly to wheel away cases....

Promo packs have been steady. The Panini packs are cool b/c they have the 2022 football guys in their pro unis. Topps packs are straight fire. We sell them all and most of our customers come back for more after pulling great cards.

Come by and say hi, please!.
Dan

A big thanks to all the Blowout friends who have come by to say hello. Today was crazy busy with buying. We have a staff of 8 working the show for our four booths and four of us spent pretty much the entire day comping and buying cards. Slow internet doesn't help. Ended up with 3 2-row boxes full of new showcase cards just from today's buying. I've been pricing them for the last 4 hours and it's time for bed now.

Please come by and say hello tomorrow!

Sweet I’ll definitely come by. We do a few COMC deals a week so would be sick to strike something in person.
