When’s the last time he’s had an auto packed out? Been several years right?

On card? Looks like 2018-19.

Supposing the Suns pull it off this year (the most important series of the year is likely to be PHO-GSW which would basically decide the champion against BOS, MIL, MIA or any other team from the East, am I wrong? Jay-Jay and Marcus Smart can take out CP3, Devin and Deandre?), suppose CP3 gets a championship ring, will his ranking in the All-Time Greatest Players list move into like the top 20 or is he basically more of a top 25-30 player?

Even if he wins a ring he doesnt break the Top 20.

Too many people have tunnel vision on stats... there is nothing quantifiable about him making EVERY team he plays for better... look at the before/after of the teams that hes played for...

NOH
Sub .500 team > 56Ws within 2 years of him joining team, leaves in 2011, in 2012 they have the 1st pick
LAC
30 W team with Blake in his 1st 2 years, CP3 joins and they make their 1st playoff since 2005, 5 straight 50+ W seasons (Franchise record 57 Ws), he gets traded to HOU and the Clips miss the playoffs
HOU Already had Harden and was a great spot for him to go to but he takes them from a 50+ W team to 65, they trade him for Westbrick bc he was such a better player right??? nope... team isnt any better and they completely tear down that team... 20 W team last two years???
OKC In a year that the team was in complete rebuild mode, trading PG13 and Westbrick, he leads a team to the playoffs that was projected to be one of the worst in the western conference
PHO Another good spot, not in that they had a MVP but they had young talented players... all he does is elevate another team to their franchise best record, and potential NBA champion...

Yup nothing quantifiable. Looks like quantifying puts him in the Top 10 easily.

While I love seeing his name on those lists, I have no idea what those acronyms stand for or measure... there's a good chance that most people do not either...

There is NO bigger Chris Paul fan on this forum than myself but I just dont see how you could place him in top 20.

I see Larry Bird's name once on all of your lists, is Chris Paul better than Bird?

I'm not trying to argue a point that I would generally support, so I'll leave it at that.

CP3 is great, but his career reminds me of the phrase, "if a tree falls in the woods and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound?" In Paul's case, if he wins a championship, but no one in the hobby cares, does it matter?

I'm not trying to come at the guy, but I think he'll be looked at exactly the same by most everyone whether or not he ever wins a championship. There's not much he can do either way to improve or wreck his narrative as a player.

Thats no big deal... 1st time in NBA history... lol

I'll give you a good stat:

He has averaged 18 Pts. 9 Asts, 2 Stls 6X

NO other player in NBA history has done that more than 3X, and in none of those years did the player commit fewer than 3TO per game, which CP3 did in every one of his seasons.

You missed the point. I listed his most recent accolade (from just last night), which one would have thought inspired a new thread on him. Never suggested it was his most important accomplishment.

mere coincidence that this thread was started the same night that he went 14/14 to close out a series

Chris Paul is a chump. He needs Curry in order to go all the way. We all know him and Durant ain't gonna win no future championship unless they land on the Warriors. The Warriors really are not any good either. That Curry guy surely makes them look all too good.

What is your purpose here? To be really stupid and annoying? We have plenty of people for that already.

I've always liked CP3 but own nothing of him other than this beauty (which absolutely stank after just one game use)

Hahahaha to put Chris Paul in his place. Unlikable. Needs improvement. Not really worthy of much accolade. Maybe he need JESUS.

And kick CURRY off the court again Mr. Paul hahahaha!!!

The thing is, despite being a terrific player, CP3 has never developed much of a collector base because he's played for so many teams.

Terrific does not equal likeable. You can have all the talent in the world and rub others the wrong way. Chris Paul just needs to enroll in Curry school. Bye friends!

whew for a moment there I was afraid you were going to hijack this thread and then I would have asked whether hijacking threads for other players is Steph-like behavior or if it's part of some Steph-related Kool-Aid drinking-level cult-routine or somesuch? A lot of the time it's really hard to tell whether this weirdness is just some kind of satire or the real deal, it's okay to admit it either way, Curry-boy

anyway, CP3
so he's like in the top 5 PGs of all-time along with Magic, Oscar, John Stockton, Chef Curry I guess (he's flexible as to whether he can be PG or SG), Steve Nash and is that about it? anyway, should it be CP<3 ?
