Comic goals for 2022

What's everyone's goals for comics in 2022?

acquire a key issue?
maybe sell your entire collection?
trade all your cards for comics?

I'll start: in 2022, I'd like to pick up Fantastic Four 48 in the highest CGC grade I can get. (hopefully 6.0 or better)

I sold/traded a ton of cards and picked up a few GA mega keys in 2021. The model worked so well trading valuable but certainly not rare cards for rare and extremely valuable books from the late 30s and early 40s. It was a unique and perfect storm though, early 2021 and the card boom.

Nevertheless I may try to do the same this year if I am able to pick up the right cards that see strong growth cough****Juan Soto***cough.

I'm trying to get the 10 or so books that fall at top of tier 2 GA keys. Found my way into a few of them and now next on the list to knock out is Action 23/Tec 35/Tec 36. Its a decades long project and I would be happy with just one of these by the end of the year.

Very nice goals!!!!!!!! It's a good feeling "trading up" to get something you really want for your collection.

I think finally finish my deadpool runs. About 14 short on the kelly mcguinness and about 5 on daniel way.

27 away on cable/deadpool. Hard to find those in the wild, but they're on ebay for sure.

Have about 40-50 other non-variants too.

I got out of comics for a while but trying to get back into it and complete some runs that I was working on before I left

Starting off with completing some old runs of Silk and Black Cat for modern comics

Silver age wise I am definitely going to try to get some ASM keys. The repurchase of ASM #13 is definitely at the top of my list. Also would like to grab a nice copy of 194.

one of my goals this year is to actually get some cool keys that don't empty my budget for buying cards lol

Maybe some cool 1:xx variants too, been getting a ton of cover A's lately and it kind of bugs me lol

main goal this year is to cut my 1963 Avengers run needs list in half. I started with 16 needs 75, 58, 53, 48, 19, 16, 13, 11, 8, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. I picked up 58 at a con this weekend and passed on some very rough shape 4,3, and 2. I subbed a couple of books to cgc ASM #194, and ASM #238. When those come back (mid-year?) I hope to sell those or use as trade bait to work on some of the harder to find or pricier books. So down to 15 left!

My 2022 goals:
1) Limit myself to buying only 1 key issue this year. Will be super picky.
2) If SDCC is still on, I’d like to buy a sketch cover from a big name comic artist.

For me, 2022 will be a slab year ... or at least waiting on them to arrive. My regular comic buying years were the "junk era" (1990-1994) probably to many but I did a lot of newsstand with condition being immensely vital to me. My stash has been sitting untouched for years and I did recently get back my first few slabs.

Well… after the seller forgot to ship… it took awhile…. But here she is!!!

I need to decide on the encyclopedia if I care enough…

I also decided to turn my focus to finishing the Cable / Deadpool run since these were done. $120 later hopefully they’ll all arrive by next weekend!
