Default Trade deadline thread

So.. who stays? Who goes? Who's the guy that no one expected to be traded that gets moved?

Or do we see a relatively pedestrian deadline?

Melvin Ingram is likely going to be traded.

Steelers balked at the Chiefs offer because they didn’t want to keep him in the AFC. He was scratched on Sunday.

Eric Ebron is a possibility but I know Ben loves him.

What are his options? If he wants to get regular snaps, and AFC teams are out of the picture, where does he fit?

The entire NFC.

As far as fit, I don’t know. I’d prefer to keep him.

If he's not happy with playing time in Pitt, IDK who's a contending team that's going to end up playing him, say 50% + snaps.

Packers maybe.

Like I said, I haven’t given it much thought because I’d prefer him to stay. The reports are they are shopping him because he’s unhappy with playing time and the Steelers don’t want to move him in the AFC.

Marlon Mack to Titans? Yeah, they signed Peterson but how much does he have left in the tank? The only thing that is holding that deal back, imho, is that both teams are in the same division.

OT: One of the sadder things in the NFL is the downfall of Todd Gurley. Guy was a beast and within a year or two just fell off completely.

The Titans will probably add another back, but it would be pretty surprising to see them give up anything more than a 7th for Mack as a rental. Colts would probably just choose to keep him if that's the case.

Packers will have zero interest they signed Merclius last week.

I would mind seeing Evan Engram come on to the roster. The Packers have 0 pass-catching TE's on the roster now.

I don't think Engram is better then anything on the Packers roster. Only move I would be in for is GB trading for Kyle Fuller if Denver picks up some of his salary.

I'd assume Falcons trade Mike Davis and Hayden Hurst, wouldn't surprise me if they traded Josh Andrews as well.

Melvin Ingram to Chiefs. 6th rounder.

Unexpected move #1.

I know this probably wouldn't happen but, what about the Packers trading Jordan Love to New Orleans for Demario Davis?

This gives Rodgers reassurance that he is their guy as well as giving the Packers defense another solid linebacker (who can actually stop the run).

It also gives New Orleans a possible future franchise QB.

That's like .... beyond unlikely.

Rodgers contract is set up to leave GB they can't keep him. His cap number right now is set up to be over $40 million next year and just to trade him it will take over a $20 million cap hit. With GB estimated over $30 million over the cap next year you could resign Rodgers but it means not resigning Adams and cutting pretty much everyone else on the team that has a high cap number. Rodgers would not want to come back to a team that was gutted to keep him.

He's one of the most underrated WR's in the game. 1000+ yards for 4 different teams.

I don't think GB has any interest in a WR. They have Adams and are happy with Lazard and MVS. They would not want to bring in a guy whos going to be the 4 or 5 WR. Plus Adams already is the focal point of the offense so another WR would just be a guy who would not see much his way.

If GB makes any trades it needs to be for CB or DL help. Their #1 CB right now is a rookie and outside of Kenny Clark there is nothing on the DL to get pressure to help free up the LB rushing the edge.

Very true. I just wish there was a way that we could get Demario. He is an absolute BEAST!

Zero chance the Colts trade to their division rival.

The weird thing about it is the Titans aren't one of the teams they've chasing to get to the playoffs.

DeSean Jackson will reportedly be cut if not traded today.
