For those that may think getting 9.5’s and 10’s with CSG like BGS and PSA, here is a perfect example of how hard they grade. Centering to me looks better than 7.5

No it doesn’t….
The top and bottom centering is way off. |

I’m seeing that now. I was looking mainly on the sides. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That's a 9 centering with PSA.

I think you’re right! I’ve been using CSG now for over 300 cards, and 9.5’s are hard to come by. I have yet to see a 10. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Definitely would re-sub when/if PSA entry level reopens.

I have, and you’re correct! PSA is by far the most lenient on centering compared to BGS and CSG. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I appreciate it, thank you! If and when PSA gets to 50.00 or so a card again, I will resubmit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thats a PSA 8 more likely than anything. Centering will knock it down & 8.5 surface means theres some sort of surface damage/printer line. Because its a star like Trae it will also get graded tougher so maybe even a 7 just for kicks.
I have a PSA 10 of a lower tier RC from same draft class that has 2 mashed corners, if I were to resub it would probably get a 6. So really its a crap shoot with grading, leave it in its current case & hope CSG get some of PSA’s market share.

By the time PSA gets to $50. CSG will have changed their label and leapfrogged to the top. After all, they are part owned by Fanatics and seem to grade accurately.

They’re not owned by Fanatics. The Fanatics CEO holds a small ownership stake in the CSG parent company. This appears to be a really hard concept for many to understand.

I was searching for some Luka's the other day and came across some off center PSA 10's. Here are a couple of them.

These seem to be just as OC as my Trae if not more! I’m losing faith in the quality of PSA 10’s for sure! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Front centering is like 80-20, grading is accurate from CSG. You can get away 80-20 on the back, but seeing those Doncic PSA 10s- I think you have a shot. At the same time, some of us look at cards first than grades.

PSA became popular because 10s are not that hard to get with them but the name recognition and the "10" has them selling like gold anyway. There's no way the market doesn't correct eventually.. but God knows when.

It sounds like a lot of people haven't subbed with PSA in the last year. They've been super strict (or maybe they were just to lenient before that). At least on high-end cards they are super harsh. I had a high-end card that was centered better than that which only got a PSA 8.
If you got a PSA 9 for that card you'd be extremely lucky, but if you want to waste your money and have your card in transit for awhile go ahead. |

Instead of hypotheticals, do it. Bust it out and send it to PSA and lets see if it comes back as a psa 10.
