Default It sucks to be a pitcher.

I was just talking to my wife after freeman hit the home run off of hader, people remember game winning home runs and who hit them and the pitcher that gave it up. Does anybody remember a batter who struck out to end the series and the pitcher that struck him out, not really or at least I don’t think so.

Mike Montgomery got the last out of the 2016 WS. Not sure if that counts and I’m bias as a Cubs fan.

Is Hader the guy who tweeted racist stuff way back when, ala Gruden?

I also remember Sergio Romo striking out Miguel Cabrera in the 2012 WS.

He should’ve been taken off the field when those came out during the All-Star game and exiled from baseball forever.

Don't remember the batter. Will never forget the pitcher or the reaction though.

But who was the pitcher, I remember the dodgers had a young pitcher who struck out Reggie Jackson to end a game in the 1977 World Series but I forgot his name.

I completely disagree with people remembering the pitcher for the most part, unless they are a star

So now you're trying to insult Millersville Maryland because of one person that you didn't even know was from there.

Hillbilly" is a term (often derogatory) for people who dwell in "rural, mountainous areas in the United States

Also using derogatory terms? Do you pump gas for a living by any chance?

Wow didn’t know starting a seemingly harmless thread could get so controversial.

Most people will miss the joke as the only time stuff like this gets brought up is during the playoffs.

Heard that was the first run Hader had given up since the last week of July.

The vast majority of Brewers fans well understand that they lost the division series because the Braves shut them out twice, and not many will hang the series loss on which pitcher Freeman beat with that home run. Because the Braves were the better team.

People remember the guy who won the game, but rarely the pitcher who gave it up. Hardcore baseball fans/Stat geeks might know both names but for the most part you just remember the guy who hit it. Without looking do you know who gave up the chris taylor walk off in the dodgers cardinals game? i watched the game but i sure as hell dont lol

For some reason I still remember Wild Thing gave up Joe Carter’s walkoff.

Now that I think about it this seems more likely, I remember joe carter don’t remember the Phillies pitcher, I know Dent hit his off of Torrez and Boone hit his off of Wakefield and Thomson hit his off of Branca. For the most part there are probably more moments where I forgot both participants.

Waino 2006.
My boss back in the early 2000s was roommates with Brandon Inge(the batter)when they were at VCU.
