This season was amazing because of what Shohei and Vlad did. With both no longer playing, is there really an interest in watching the playoffs? I for one logged out of baseball until ST of next season. There is not a player that really brings excitement to the game that are in the playoffs currently. TB a good young team. ATL is just another good team without Acuna to draw people to watching. LA/Astros? No thanks! I will be focused more on preseason basketball and football. Good luck to the teams that are in the playoffs.

Pretty sure I just read that the AL Wild Card game was like one of the most-watched games in recent memory ...

That’s cool. I was really asking and the overall answer is everyone is watching. Baseball is likely my least favorite sport. I watched the Angels and Toronto highlights and that is about it. I went to one game and only because the family wanted to go did I attend. I would have gone to the Angels/Rangers game, but I do not like the sport that much to drive the 2 hours to attend. I guess I am a sport card collector/investor when it comes to baseball. Again GOOD LUCK to all the people with teams in the playoffs.

Sure, we'd all love to see Ohtani and Trout in the playoffs. But that doesn't change the fact that it's October baseball.
We got to watch LouBob and Yordan in the first game. Wander and Devers in the second game. Tomorrow we get the only MEH series IMO. Milwaukee and Atlanta. Then to close out the night we get one of the best rilvaries in sports. For the first time EVER in the playoffs. Ya I would have rather seen Toronto over Boston or NYY, but other than that and the MIL/ATL series this is one of the best postseason starts in recent memory.

Not having a team to me is weird, but it seems there are a bunch that don't. Beyond my Braves I still like watching baseball anyway, and usually catch 7-8 random games a season, and watch highlights/youtube stuff about just about everything. Also, my team's about to start cracking open beers tomorrow.
Braves in 4. |

I probably only watched 2-3 Angels or Blue Jays games. IF you don't find pure joy in watching playoff baseball...I think it might be time to re-evaluate some things.

Maybe you aren't a real fan and didn't realize the National League existed, but there are plenty of fans that never watched Vlad or Shohei play because they were watching National League games.

What a crazy question to ask in the baseball section. Of course I’m watching! The games have only just begun, but already these playoffs have been a blast. Even though my team didn’t make the playoffs, I still have so many of my fantasy and hobby guys to root for: Devers, Robert, Yordan Wander, Burnes, and Albies.

I can't remember who turned me on to this, but I'm part of a Playoff Parlay pool. 10 hitters and 10 pitchers (one of each from every team), where hitters follow a standard fantasy lineup (C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, IF, OF, OF, OF UT). Tons of fun.
Anyway ... just give me even more reason to watch. |

Sorry to hear that you’re not an actual baseball fan.
October baseball is the epitome of the sport, regardless of who’s playing. “There is not a player that really brings excitement…” Some of the best young stars in the game and best pitchers of this generation are playing in the 2021 Postseason. |

I'm going to find a hockey board and ask if anyone really watches the NHL playoffs. I don't, so no one else does either, right?

Lots of people expressed the same views last year, but it all good. Also there are lots of more crazier post. There are fans and then there are collectors. Most of us collect players and not teams so…. |
