2021 Topps Chrome parallel population

Wanted to ask you guys your thoughts on parallel distribution throughout this product. I am trying to put together a rainbow and have had good luck finding most of the parallels. At this point I only need two more to complete the set and one is a red /5 which I understand the scarcity of. The other is a green /99 which I have yet to see a single one make it to Ebay for this player. I've seen plenty of green waves that are /99 as well but not a regular green. Is this a product of increased print runs and if so is it also an indication of alot of this product still sitting unsold unopened? I've even watched and been in a number of breaks and haven't seen on there either.

Appreciate the insight fellas.

I have a similar situation going on. Before 2 days ago I hadn’t seen a single purple base refractor and I still haven’t seen a single purple or regular blue auto.

You're gonna see this happen with the rest of the Topps product line until Fanatics completely takes over. Topps has already cranked up the overall print run on sets since 2020, and it's gonna get much, much worse in the next couple of years. Topps is in max profit mode, and the more they print the more they have to sell. Finding certain cards (especially low print runs) has been challenging since 2020 - too much product and not enough of it being opened.

Not for the current prices. A local show this past weekend had unopened blasters and megas cheaper than retail (not much). Target now has blasters at $42.99. Ridiculous.

Nice pull and out of a blaster no less. That's a helluva run you had! I'd be pumped about the Anderson auto. He is going to be a big part of the future in ATL.

Finally found / won a green on Ebay! Now just waiting for. Red to show up. Ruling out any potential at finding and ultimately affording a superfractor so tje red will complete the rainbow for me. I will try to post a picture of what I have so far.

Not too concerned about tracking down the printing plates or super fractor but if I could land a red I would have the rainbow complete. Picture of the in-progress rainbow attached.

I’d love to see the print run of un-numbered Topps Chrome refractors over the years. I never know how many are made. Refractor/xfractor/pink/sepia/prism—aka the common retail rainbow.

I haven’t looked at 2021, but they generally stay proportional to print run

If I remember right, in 2018 the refractor was ~6k, prism was like 3k… and xfractor and pink were like 2k.

A couple years later, when print runs were nearly 2x ‘18, all those print runs had gone up a similar amount.

Oh nice, thanks! It helps me to see which ones to get first! That’s how I’ve been going after my key players. Retail rainbow for chrome, gold/rainbow foil/maybe good deals on other store-exclusive parallels, then refractor/chrome/action for Heritage. Then pepper in random cards that I like. Helps with the focus!

If you guys were looking for a hard to find parallel, outside of the usual places like ebay and comc, where else would you look? Do you ever reach out to sellers on eBay to see if they might no where one is even if it's not listed anywhere? I'm only one card away from the rainbow and I'd love to find it. Thanks for the help.

Still looking for refractor auto and purple auto or Luis Garcia (Nats). Not a single one of either has popped up. None sold on eBay! But Luis Garcia (Astros) has had 7+ purple autos sell. I don’t get it

I've been looking as well and am almost certainly convinced that neither of those (including the Aqua auto) of Luis Garcia Nats simply do not exist.

Wanted to update this thread on a good note! I finally landed the last card I needed to make the 2021 Topps Chrome Ozzie Albies rainbow! Won a red refractor (/5) the other day and now have it in hand! See the pic for all the gloriousness!
