Default Miscut corner, psa graded.

What do you guys make of this? Bought this on ebay. Psa 9 but corner almost looked alterred to me. Psa qc issue? Or is this factored into the grade the card recieved.

Seems to be common from many of the images I have seen for that card. Yours seems pretty extreme for a PSA 9, but I saw some flared corners on PSA 10's with that card.

PSA never acknowledges it, but they do grade some cards different. This may be one of the examples of that. The 1992 Topps Shaq Gold card with the printing defect can receive a PSA 10. I have a PSA 10 1988 Rodman that has a common yellow fish-eye which is seen in many PSA 10's of that card. The O-Pee-Chee cards are allow horrible edges from their cutting process.

The edge may also be melted from the sealing process like the Juan Soto acetate /10 they ruined and still graded.

Came to say this. Being a plastic card, it is probably melted.

It is a legit copy. I have a box full of the EX from a box that I opened when it first came out 1997-98. Some of them have pointy corners, or shaved corners. The acetate part are hard to find clean.

THIS ^^^

There are a few threads that have recently (past few years) graded acetate cards slide into slabs that are higher than the card condition shows. It appears that the cards were graded, then as mentioned, corners damaged during the slab process.

This. Interestingly enough with my other PSA slabs I can usually move the card inside the slab. But this PSA card particularly I cannot move it
