I was probably posting at the same time as you. But yeah pretty cool. Hopefully I’ll be able to get blasters at retail.

Another release.... Panini is really over playing their hand. Burn out by the end of the year. MMA is just not that big yet.

Now that they are losing NBA and NFL they will really have to go all in on UFC

I don't think the star power is really there right now either.

Truth.

Their biggest star (Khabib) retired and their most marketable fighter (Conor) is a shell of his former self.

There are some choice fighters on the roster but their star power isn’t there yet.

Other hot guy in the hobby is Sean O'Malley. I'm a fan but his prices are just insane for the competition he's faced so far.

I can see why, he's a personality and a really slick fighter who is a ton of fun to watch. I'm just not gonna pay up when he's fighting guys they are picking off the street. Will be fun to watch him fight someone legit... whenever that happens.

Has anyone considered Izzy autos not holding as much weight considering Topps’ last sticker dump project (Striking Signatures) had 543 of them for the base alone?

OMalleys cool but to me he is more personality than anything. He still hasn’t fought anybody. Last dude he fought he beat but the dude (can’t remember his name) came out of the fight with more momentum than O’Malley lol

I mess with him but there’s a bunch of fighters that are better. Petr Yan for one.

All the fighters mentioned have Topps Rookies.

Panini has some good rookie base and autos... Usman autos are brutally undervalued for a proven champ but they are releasing way too much... its over saturation of variation this and parallel that.

For sure, not a lot of brand new fighters with hype out there. Khamzat Chimaev is one guy that only has Panini cards.

Usman is definitely undervalued.

Pass on Yan as well.

Good fighter but that last DQ was a head scratcher. Don't see much upside with him.

He never will. He's said in an interview that he doesn't get paid enough to fight anyone good so he will run his contract down fighting bums.

Awful attitude.

On the one hand, I agree with you – if you aren't willing to fight top competition, don't call yourself a professional fighter. On the other hand... prizefighting has always been about securing paydays for whatever fight will sell. MMA and boxing are rife with fighters throughout all eras who took bad fights because the payday was good.
Yin and the yang of the ring.

Another set. Yikes. I like how the Buzz said boxes carry a MSRP of $130. Haha that’s hilarious!!

Singles it is, again. UFC wax is just way too overpriced. Panini overestimated the UFC market by a country mike I think.

I think it's the fact that he's just looking to fight scrubs that rubs me the wrong way. Frankie Edgar's my favorite fighter, but he's clearly at the end of his run, and O'Malley even turned down that fight. I'd think a win over a legendary name would mean a lot more, like it did for Sandhagen, than a guy who's making his debut in the UFC.

Minority here apparently, but Chronicles might be the first retail product readily accessible. most people couldn’t find prizm anywhere and Select didn’t have retail. It can’t be all hobby prices.

The various soccer retail products produced this year created a whole new segment of soccer collectors, whether the hardcores think it watered things down too much or not.

The hordes/mob that created all the issues in the stores resulted in Walmart and Target pulling retail in most locations... doubt they will come back with chronicles.

But... supply vs demand might play out.... too much supply, and flippers cannot sell and soon prices drop. But a big drop is bad for the hobby in general.

it will be in store, prizm was. it’s not going to be a product bots go crazy for chronicles generally isn’t big money in any sport.

Saw it was up for pre-order on Blowout...........

$849 a box

Blowout Buzz has a MSRP of $130.

Just ridiculous. Over this awful pricing and at this point, I don't know who is to blame. Nobody seems to be breaking UFC wax. Collecting Miocic Prizm basically came to a standstill. Didn't even bother to start with Select given all the levels and colors. Feels like UFC is ruined before it even started.
