Default David Patten RIP

2001 playoff run hero...was incredibly clutch. 47 years old.

Very sad. One of only three players with the triple crown of touchdowns in a game (LT, Sweetness) since the merger. Legendary unsung hero.

I heard about the crash yesterday on the news, but they didn't release the name. Sad to hear.

He'll live on through Patriots Super Bowl Highlights.

RIP David.

I just checked YouTube because I wanted to see some highlights from the 2001-2004 playoffs. Almost the entire first page of search results is full of videos from vultures who slapped together a few clips and monetized them to cash in on his death.

Don't watch any videos uploaded today unless you want to give ad revenue to the kind of people who would do this.

Here's a good interview from a couple of years ago where he talks about how he got cut from the CFL and was working a factory job before the Giants picked him up in 1997.

He was a typical undervalued Patriot receiver who carved out a decent journeyman career who made a spectacular catch for the Patriots in the Super Bowl.

Sad news indeed...

I’ll never forget that sick tD catch in the corner of end zone maybe that was Brady first SB TD pass?
