Default Kobe auto help

Hey all first post and hoping to get some help to see if this is an authentic auto? Thank you to all the contributors as this forum has taught me so much and provided me with great entertainment as well.

The Kobe card has the Scoreboard stamp and auto looks legit, but I am nowhere near expert and just guessing based on other online autos that look similar.

I don't recall ever seeing that Kobe Scoreboard auto. Don't trust the Scoreboard crimp. I would avoid.

Yeah I would avoid. So many faked 90's Kobe autos. Not worth the risk.

Hi all, posting here instead of starting a new thread. I have been looking to purchase a Kobe auto for a while and prices are finally coming down towards my budget for this. Scoreboard's are generally the lowest priced. Are they not a reliable brand?

If memory serves there are backdoor/faked Scoreboard stamps that are out in the wild and some of the more expensive buyback cards were being faked so people avoid those cards even if some of them may be legitimate.

Yeah I would avoid these unless you’re 100% sure it’s authentic. Do it right the first time and get an nba licensed auto. It will be cheaper in the long run.

they are a fair price because 9 out of 10 are fake. The current entry market for legit Kobe auto cards is around 1000-1200.

OP I wouldn't touch the card in question (though the auto looks authentic to my fairly knowledgeable eyes)

Thanks both - makes sense! Will hold out a bit more.
