Everyone else has one. Why not this 24-year old? Currently hitting .315. He seems to be on the road to getting it.

Still Ks wayyyy too much, but his walk % is up this year, so maybe he's on the right track.

Mets announcers were just talking about how he has really refined his view of the strike zone and while he still K's a lot, it seems different. Kudos to him for making adjustments and as a Mets fan, I hope he regresses

I'm a huge Braves fan & watch almost all of their games. I've been a vocal critic of Riley the past couple of seasons mainly because his approach at the plate was terrible. He started almost every at-bat 0-2 or 1-2 meaning pitchers could feed him their nastiest pitches without ever throwing another strike.

He's really changed his approach at the plate and its paying big dividends. I hope Austin can continue to prove me wrong!

As OP mentioned, I'm not sure how much hobby love is left when Rocking Ronny is your team mate but I'm glad that he seems to be putting it all together this year. I have an Update SP Photo Variation and Rainbow Foil at PSA. Not huge cards but maybe nice slow burners.

I think that with print runs increasing significantly, flagship products pre-2020( especially Update) will have a premium attached to them. Hopefully Riley emerges as THE guy from 2019 Update( excluding Vladdy because of the No name SP).

A WS MVP will do Riley's stock no harm.

He'll never be top dog on the Braves obviously, but as we've seen lately, the hobby has room for a lot of young players. The buy in is cheap, for now, and he's still really young. We'll see.

Id agree but it’s difficult to judge what is cheap right now. I expect the mellowing of the market to continue into and through the summer. You could buy now, see great production all year and have a card worth the same or less in Oct -Dec.

Yes and no. If you’re buying autos and parallels I think a steady increase should mirror the players’ production.

I got a TC true blue RC auto for $100 not long ago in great condition. There’s plenty good deals on his stuff left out there

I also like his new autograph with his jersey number inscription way better than the one he used on his rookie/prospect stuff. Just added his 2020 Topps Stadium Club Chrome auto...love the photo on that one.

When I bought my 2016 Rome Braves Team Set some years ago, it had two copies of the Austin Riley card in it. I wasn't missing any other cards from the set, so I was happy with the extra card. Here's a picture of Riley's 2016 Rome Braves Team Set card x2:
