Sounds interesting. It all depends on price. I'd hope no more than $5/pack .

What I like about this is that UD rewarded an artist who consistently made a concerted effort to produce quality sketch work.

Priced similar to Topps Star Wars and Baseball living sets? Looks like their version.

Only 999 total packs a week? Immediate sellout.

But maybe I don't know what I'm talking about

So 52 weeks of buying, but also only 1 in 20 packs have the gold card needed AND you can only buy 3 packs for week? Am I reading that right. Seems like an absolute trading nightmare. 15% chance to get the card you need, and you need 52 of them.

If you could buy 20 packs per week and let's say it was a conservative $4.99 per pack, that's on average a minimum of $5,000 for a set of gold cards needed for a sketch.

This looks like a marvel masterpiece quality base set. This will sell out quickly. I know I'll be buying. If I hit a gold, it's for trade for whomever is interested.

No, you can only buy 3 packs at once. This will cause a delay for those trying to buy more than 3 and thus allow others a chance to buy.

Realistically you'll need to be around when it drops for a higher probability of landing 1 pack. Granted this is assuming the price point isn't ridiculous. $5 a pack seems fair to me.

Another way to look at it...

If it is $5 a pack x 52 = $260 for a set of 52 cards plus the 4 achievements and the signed litho...and you get a chance at a gold auto card. Not bad I guess....depends on the art and the card quality.

Yes, that’s not bad, but I’d be shocked to see it priced that low, I’m expecting in the 10-15 range, which puts it at a pretty expensive cost in the end (don’t forget about still needing to pay to ship it all home too).

Even at 10 bucks a pack it’s not all that bad if you just want the set and lithograph (I honestly MIGHT do that, not sure, will depend on the price), but if you’re going for the sketch, it’s going to get VERY expensive to try and hit an auto each week.

But in all honesty, if you just want a base set and lithograph, you’re best bet is to prolly wait and buy one for much less than it would cost to build it along the way. It just comes down to if you want a 1 in 20 chance each week at hitting an auto to trade.

I was thinking $10 it would still be not a bad a deal....but I thought I was in the minority. Anyway as with most things epack....its always cheaper to wait. I wonder if these lithos will be on COMC too? The hildebrandt ones were....but they were much smaller right?

Any idea if there will be a way to combine cards for a physical card? I'm not a fan of digital cards otherwise I might jump on this.

Also, can you automate buying these weekly products or do you have to be at your computer or on your phone when each card goes live?

I think they are all physical...and no...you need to be at your phone or computer when it drops. For the weekly cards didn't a group of people team up to buy up all of some weeks cards so that they had control over anyone else trying to go for achievements? All you need is 300+ accounts.

"Each week a new Marvel Unbound pack will be released, spotlighting a different fan-favorite Marvel character."

Does this mean there will only be one character card available every week? If you buy 3 packs, you get the same card three times, with a possible auto variant?

That is what I took it to mean. Sort of like weekly....that's why there are 52 cards.

This is similar to the changes they made to the Game Dated Moments hockey cards this season. Though not serial numbered, each card was limited to 499 and a gold variant limited to 100 was added as a second card in some packs. You are limited to 5 packs per purchase and the cost is $5.99 per pack. Cards of top rookies sold out nearly instantly and frequently broke the website.

By comparison there are 999 of these cards each week, which is twice as many as the 499 hockey set. The gold autograph parallel falls half as often though, with only 50 compared to the 100 in GDM. And you are limited to buy 3 packs instead of 5, which should allow more people to purchase when they go live.

While these will likely sell very quickly, you should have more of a chance to get in compared to some of the hockey releases.

This will be a fun set. I’m glad they limited to 3 packs per transaction. Last year was 10 packs per transaction and half the print run and sold out in a minute. Venom, Spider-Man, and Spider-Gwen weeks will probably break the site though.

Also there will likely be a ton of hockey guys buying this up to trade for Young Guns.

It's 1 card per pack with a chance for 2. Marvel Masterpiece was not much more expensive than $15 from what I recall and that was for 3 cards which would be a numbered base, base parallel that are rarer than comparable tier, and a 3rd parallel or insert.

My guess would be $6.99 or $7.99, though I'd love $4.99.
