Hi guys,
Recently I get up charge by PSA on a silver Doncic RC PSA9, using the regular $55 per service and being up charged to $85 (+$30). With a running rate of $1.5-1.9k on this card, do you think it makes sense? Wanna hear people’s 2cents. Ty guys. NC |

For regular service, wasn’t the max declared value $999?

if you say the value is $1.5-$1.pk and the max for regular submission is $999, then yes it makes sense.

In the same sub, there can be nil Upcharge on a Select Level 3 Devin Booker RC PSA10 (running rate of $3k+) while they upcharged on a silver Luka PSA9. I understand they are well known for their inconsistency, as Luka Silver RC is a very popular card, I would like to compare apple to apple if someone else has been charged on this card with a PSA9.

A lot of it makes no sense. I was recently told I was upcharged on a Kobe Bryant Skybox rookie after it got a PSA 7. I had to pay a $20 upcharge. Why? No idea.

I got upcharged on an express level Giannis Prizm PSA 9 and 10 back in February. 2012 Lebron Prizm PSA 10 got no upcharge in the same order.

PSA has been somewhat lenient, if they upcharged every card they could id be a little pissed, but looks like they are only do cards that exceed the threshold by 50% ($999 max value vs $1500 actual value fits that criteria). Are they doing it on all cards? No, but it’s $30, who really cares.

Ask them why they didnt upcharge on the booker. Maybe going forward they will.

You do know once you start grading a card the service fee itself is an upcharge? And when people pay to grade I dont hear anyone complaining that they are throwing money straight off the bat at the card.
