Default Aaron Rodgers

Told GB he doesn’t want to return to the team.

SF called GB to see if he was available. GB should go #3 pick, Jimmy and 3 future #1 picks.

Good for him, can't imagine having someone of his caliber at the position and instead of getting another piece to build your team with moving up to draft a QB without telling him.

The disrespect....

San Fran doesn't have 3 future #1's unless they can trade their 2030 picks lol. Also, not sure GB would want Jimmy since they were enamored with Love.

More likely a 3-way deal

SF gets Rodgers
NE gets Jimmy
GB gets #3, NE pick for Jimmy + whatever add on picks.

The 49ers offer might be looking a little better now

Green Bay should have taken the SF deal.

Draft day! Forcing some hands, scaring some executives on a very volatile and emotional day. Calculation working at its best.

Running through the teams in my head that make the most sense; Miami stands out.

GB is not trading him intra-division, SF has cornered themselves; feels like MIA steps right in and swoops Rodgers to the non-Brady land of the AFC East.

They have the assets.

I think this ultimately ends in an extension with him actually deciding future moves on the team he leads, may be proven wrong in a couple hours so guess we'll see. Ultimate power move would be getting them to trade Love.

Well let's be real here, who else really is there? You need a team on the verge because Rodgers is 38 years old this year and you need a team who has a hole at the QB position. It's SF / MIA.

Oakland is a sleeper because you never discount the crazy they can pull off but outside of these three teams, IDK of any other real possibilities.

I don’t know that he gets traded tonight but I think he does at some point. If he won’t restructure for GB, he has them by the balls.

Sure they do.

And from Rodgers point of view, I would imagine it has to be a top his list of destinations for a variety of reasons. Not to mention his new fiancée was arrested in Miami not too long ago ... so she clearly loves it there.

Just makes too much sense.

Tua, both #1s tonight and a #1 next year. Why would GB say no?

For a 38 year old QB???? Three ones and a project??? Hell, Belicheat would have taken that in Brady’s prime.

Do yourself a favor and don’t become a GM.

I don’t want it to happen but that’s what they’d have to give up...you dope.

Rodgers's choices right now are play, sit out, or retire. Simply based on the salary cap alone, Green Bay can't trade him. It's just a leverage play because he's 1) unhappy about Love and 2) hasn't been able to finalize a long-term extension (that they've been trying for).

Either way, I don't blame him. Either commit to your MVP QB or don't.
