Default Your "Last card standing"

OK, this is one of those "If you had to sell all your cards, but you were allowed to keep one, which one would it be?" questions. Here's the kicker though. The card you pick to keep can never be sold, or handed down to someone else. In other words monetary value is not a factor. I thought this would be a fun way to see what cards other collectors value the most at a personal/emotional level.

I'd keep my 1978 Topps Tony Dorsett. It looks like a goat ate it and sh*t it over a cliff but it's the first card I ever remember owning. Plus my father bought me the pack that it came in.

1979 Topps Ozzie Smith RC. I've been carting it around for 30 years. It's moved with me 9 times. It isn't ever going anywhere.

Mine's pretty similar. I've got a 1989 Orel Hershiser Donruss card that was my favorite card from the first pack my mom ever bought me at a grocery store that is super beat up, but still in a toploader next to all sorts of fancy rookies, autos, and graded cards.

I'd love to. Unfortunately the card is in a box buried under "God only knows how many" other boxes. I'm planning on getting to it this summer, hopefully.

My dad and I have the same card and I got them graded a few years ago. They have sequential serial numbers and the same grade too.

They aren't very expensive - you can pick one up for less than half the price of a 2019 Topps Chrome Sapphire Tatis PSA 10 (and a third less on the pop report).

It's a cool card and even cooler that we will always both own it. I have two sons so eventually both will go to them.

Sorry if the picture looks terrible. It’d be my Acuna bowman chrome auto. I had collected cards before this, but this is the one that really kind of got me back into it and got me back into watching baseball.

I got back into the hobby around 2011-2012 buying random singles on ebay. My wife bought me my first pack during my return while shopping at Target (To the young folk, Back in the old days this was possible without incident) Opened it to find a Redemption card. Had no idea what this was at the time. I was amazed and cherish/thank/blame this card for ramping up my obsession with the hobby. I would keep this one if it was my last card standing, purely for the sentimental value.

I don't know that I could keep just one. I have a few guys I PC and I'd at least like one of each of them. But maybe this if I could only have one.

Not the first T206 I ever owned but it's the 2nd, and one of the few cards I still have from my childhood collection.

No question about it, they say to be careful to meet you heroes.... not in this case- so appreciative. Definition of priceless.

I would keep the card my wife bought me for my 40th birthday. She bought it when I was 38 yrs old. She bought it early because she didn’t want the value to keep going up, so it sat in our safe (in a box with birthday wrapping paper) until my 40th birthday. It means a lot to me.

Looking for Andre Dawson Serial numbered cards that are his jersey number - either #8 or #10. So looking for cards like 8/8 or 08/99 or 10/250.

Whoa!!! Right after I read your comment, I immediately looked up recent sales. Last two PSA 1’s sold at $9.5k (best offer) and $10.5k!
