Default Where is Steph in this conversation?

Can he win another MVP with a .500+ team?

My man looks so good night in and night out!

I feel like he deserves a serious look.

He's still the best player in the league. That's where the conversation begins and ends.

Maybe top 20 in conversation.

Team is good and he's barely in playoffs.

Spurs are .500 and team is worse than warriors.

Suns have almost the best record with not much better.

He still played most of the year.

They beat okc hou clev recently so it makes them look better.

Sixers no simmons.

Nothing to get excited about.

Going by this... not in top 10 yet. The numbers are pretty low 3-10..if he is able to crack the top 10...moving up the board should be easy. Joker has a pretty good lead at the moment... winning isn't likely.

Warriors are 1-6 (mostly blowout losses) without Steph this year, meaning they're 28-23 when he plays. He should 100% be a Top 3 MVP candidate.

Yeah, their schedule is starting to even out.

Dubs no Klay, Wiseman, Paschall, or JTA.

Get out of here with that crap.

They’re barely above .500 as is. Without Curry, they’d be dead last.

They added a rookie and Oubre to the worst team in the league last year. That barely moves the needle.

I remember at the beginning of the season Steph caught flack for being questioned on his leadership role. I even questioned it.

I’d say this his his second best season outside of his unanimous MVP.

He’s got 14 games left with the only the Nuggets, Jazz, and Suns being decent squads. If he runs the table and gets a 12-2 record I think he has an outside shot at scooping up that MVP. If by some miracle he hits the afterburners and the sweep out, he’ll get the trophy.

100% in the conversation.

Should not get the MVP for a .500 record.

Who cares what their record is when he's not there. He wasn't there! So by that take, Klay is their best player.

Didn't Westbrook win with close to a .500 record?

Also, this is how I feel about trout and baseball tbh.

Top 3 MVP candidate...only thing holding him back is the Warriors record but even then, he still has a legit chance.

So happy to see the Warriors finally rolling again, only 1 game back from 8th seed and 2 games back from the 7th seed. Got a soft schedule the rest of the way, so anything can happen!

Solidly top10 but let's not get carried away. He has almost no chance to win.

If you really think he's top 3 right now you better throw down $100 on his MVP odds right now cause he's +6000.

Are his chances better than Chris Paul? I'd say no. Lillard, Harden, Luka, Jokic, Embiid? Obviously not.

At absolute best he's got an outside shot at top5

This.

Not winning MVP as a bubble team. Not winning MVP if they finish below the Nuggets.

Kobe 05-06 season and his team was an 8th seed. I’d imagine Curry will get the same amount of recognition, racking plenty of 1st place votes.

Jokic has the trifecta (wins, stats and availability). It’s pretty much his if he finishes the season in good health.

Kobe finished 4th in MVP voting that year. Go look at the top10 mvp that year, it was hilariously bad.

I was suggesting Curry is not going to finish anything higher than 3rd or 4th despite of his historic scoring barrage but will probably manage to garner plenty of 1st place votes. Kobe ended up 4th overall but got the 2nd most 1st place votes behind Nash who won the award.

Top 5 is all that matters for MVP voting tbh, the rest are just fodder.

Dont think he will win MVP but he is worth consideration. Amazing last 10 games.

Gotcha, yea he may get a few 1st place votes.

He's more of a flavor of the day right now, similar to Dame during the month or whatever when CJ and Nurk were out

I actually think at least from this past 10-15 game stretch is better than his 15-16 season. Yes his percentages were slightly better than now but remember he is doing this with no klay so all the defenses are solely game planning for him and he is still putting up 40+. This is why I feel it is actually more impressive.
