So I know Covid has made a mess of things, but when I pay over $500 to get my stuff shipped from Upper Deck/COMC and they give you a date, I expect to get it close to that date. If you can't deliver by that date, then just don't advertise that date. I pay that kind of money for shipping because I have to sell my stuff to keep my business rolling and well it's worth well over $6000 in cards. I got one email from COMC stating the cards will ship on 3/1 for the 3/2 Delivery Date. As of this time they haven't even shipped my cards. I contacted Upper Deck and COMC with Upper Deck telling me they emailed COMC and they would ship my items, still nothing. I filed a charge back for the shipping because I am not paying $500 for something they can't fulfill. I filed complaints with the BBB due to complete lack of communication, not a single email or message from COMC at all about any delays or updates. So now I am worried about my $6000 in cards and the $10000 worth of cards still sitting on Upper Deck. Anyone have any ideas what next step to take. I wouldn't raise a such a stink if they didn't have the 3/2 delivery date when I paid $500 or if they didn't send an email saying the cards will ship 3/1, or if they emailed me and refunded some of the shipping fees, but NOTHING.

BTW, this is a huge flag for not buying from Upper Deck any more. It's sad, but they are contracted with a company that seems to have a lot of complaints on the BBB website. So this seems to be a systemic issue.

The shipping delays and poor response have been well known for nearly a year now. Your frustration is well earned and shared. Hopefully your filing with the BBB will help some.
However, that you filed a chargeback while still expecting the service is very concerning. That should only come in to play if you were trying to cancel your shipment. add: They made an announcement on the 1st to expect up to 2 weeks in shipping delays.

People have had enough of COMC and it's compounding daily. The bubble will burst for them. Lying about when they are sending checks and later than ever packages might do it.

Well for one thing, I got an email saying my cards were being packaged and shipped on 3/1/2021, with over night delivery. The charge back is based on failure to render services. I paid for something that clearly stated expected delivery by 3/2/2021, I have an email saying cards were packed for shipping on 3/1/2021, and never received and email saying other wise. I still haven't received an apology email or anything from COMC. Upper Deck has no control, they just email COMC to let them know there is an issue. Also my payments went to Upper Deck, that is my shipping payment, NOT COMC. Neither party responded to my charge back either, I mean not anything from either company, so I escalated it, 48 hours is long enough to send an email explaining they are behind or anything else, but nothing, not a peep. My credit card company and the BBB sent emails to all parties involved, and none of them have replied in 48 hours. Hence they don't give a d@mn. If they decided NOT to ship my cards at all, I am already in the process of researching small claims courts. It's well over $6000 in merchandise they are "holding" and $500 in delivery fees with no update on when or even IF the cards are gonna ship.

It's not an exact comparison, but welcome to eTopps. They sold 4M cards for $27M and then completely abandoned their website with most of the cards still in their warehouse. Whenever the site breaks, it takes them 6 months to fix. Instead of that, UD/COMC customers get completely unjustified shipping wait times (but at least it's still affordable).... their barely-there CS is better than the 0 CS that Topps has, though.
The BBB hasn't been relevant in decades though, so good luck with that. But what amazes me about COMC lately is that they keep doubling down on the excuse-making header bars. It's just incredibly amateurish and unprofessional. And they make it the first thing you see when their site loads.

Also, that message on Upper Deck was released the day when my shipment should have been in my hands, so again, complete failure from both companies. Now I have a bunch of cards on a website that stored at a warehouse, with only 1 way of getting them, and that one way I don't trust, so I am gonna ride them every day until I get EVERY last card off that site. I am not even a top spender, imagine if anyone of the big guys wanted to pull their cards, it would take em a year!

I'm in a similar boat, but didn't spend quite as much on shipping. Got one email response that turned out to be the expected smoke blown up a rectum. No responses since however. Way past two weeks to ship.
My question is this. What needs to be done/organized to make a real impact? COMC basically holds your cards hostage now and even if you pay the ransom, you still don't get squat. Feels like fraud more and more as each days passes.

I’m increasingly worried that I’ll try to sign in one day and it’ll all be gone. They’ll keep the cards they have stored, keep any store credit we all have and just disappear. I’m in the same boat as many with an outstanding order way past the shipping date. I will not purchase another card on COMC unless this mess is fixed. And since I also sell there, and realize others will also stop buying because of their poor customer service, it hurts many of us as both buyers and sellers. And why the hell are they having a week long eBay auction event coming up?! They already fail to ship to us but they can take that on? I’m about done with them. |

As I said in the other thread, I filed with the Washington State Attorney Generals Office. My claim has been assigned to an investigator. I suggest everyone else do the same. Get some other eyes on this terrible company.
I'm to the point of also wondering, should I file chargeback for these shipments that I didn't use store credit on? I mean, enough is enough.

I know I placed an order from them a while ago and forgot what I ordered. Got an email saying I would receive my order by mid-March and I’m still waiting for cards I can’t remember ordering

Wow...I didn’t realize things were getting so bad at COMC.
I’ve purchased some cards from them via eBay, and they are always shipped quickly. |

But they are not running it fine, there are complaints all over grwoing that shipping times there are falling off the cliff as well. Volume is likely the only thing keeping them from getting slapped by Ebay As long as they get around 97 orders out of every 100 out on time they are ok. Don't sound like much but start doing the math that small percentage actually grows into a large actual number.

Yep things are not going fine with them in general on eBay. I won two auctions like 7 and 8 days ago, and so far no tracking number, not shipped, not a peep at all from comc. I’m not holding my breath these will be shipped out this week either. This would not be acceptable for a typical seller on eBay, to just not ship or even communicate about a sold item a week later. Im sure it’s not just me either, considering their feedback.

They would be allowed about 3 to 4 per 1000 before Ebay would say much. Likely would not be banned untile they hit around 10 per 1000.

People have been crying abot COMC and shipping for months but yet people are still being fools and still buying from them. How about stopping buying cards from them and force them to either change how they are doing business or go out of business. If you keep buying cards from them despite their crappy bussines model they have no reason to change.

And even with on-site purchases I have to wonder if new users see even the basically wrong weeks-to-month ship date estimates - before they buy that one card they’ve been looking for.
