My Son Wrote Shaq to his Mine o' Mine address last year and sent a card and asked him sign it , along with a SASE. This came in and he is all excited and I am quite surprised. Does this look real? I think I will send for a PSA online quick opinion but either way it is great an athlete like Shaq actually writes back!
The address we used was: Mine O' Mine, Inc. (Company) P.O. Box 951840. Lake Mary, FL 32795-1840 Last edited by MattMiller; 01-22-2021 at 03:21 PM. |

You can't do a quickopinion if the card isn't for sale, AFAIK. It looks good to me, but I'm not a Shaq expert. However, why not just let your kid have it as a treasured memento instead of trying to confirm it. Sometimes the story/feeling is better than the facts.

The consensus on the majority of the Shaq TTM autos is that they're ghost signed. I doubt we'll ever be able to prove it though.

My dad had a baseball signed by Willie Mays. He kept it in my room when I was a kid. One day, I decided to "Sandlot" the ball and play a little pitch and catch w/ the wood fence in our backyard. Well...let's just say that ball and auto were ruined. Couldn't tell which ball was which after I was done with it. 30 years later, I just claim that it wasn't really signed by Willie in the first place. He thought it was but I doubt it.

It looks good to me, way different from the 2013-16 Panini era autographs. During those years, all TTM thru Mine O Mine consistent with 2013-16 Panini era.
Yours looks good. And these guys are suggesting the right way, keep it as a nice memory for your son that Shaq signed back his card.

This does kind of look jagged like his paninis. A noticeable difference in the way shaq writes his 3 compared to this one as well.

Someday they will have fingerprint ID and real DNA to see if the athlete actually held the card

I have an in-person auto from Shaqs rookie year.
Never know 100% for sure but I'd lean authentic. that said, as a kid that collected IP and TTM autos, I wouldnt mention anything about it to the boy. |

Like others said, let the kid enjoy it, no reason to have it authenticated. In the event it isn't signed by shaq, having your kid know that would probably be pretty crushing. Sort of like telling your kids about santa claus at too young of an age. There will be plenty of things to be bitter about later in life haha.
