beginning collector

Hi Guys,

just joined this forum and i would like to start collecting some soccer cards but have some questions.

1. which cards are best to buy/ invest in the beginning without spending like several hunderd bucks? like panini, topps, upperdeck..?
2. what is the best place to buy the cards? Living in holland.
3. which packs contains cards with en piece of shirt or signatures?
4. is there a site or anything which can tell me what the cards are worth? i have this beckham card but see so many different prices online.

1 : please research the forum more, try to see what everyone like. Stick with licensed items. But its always good to buy what you like so that even if the card values are plummeted you can still keep them.

2 : ebay, facebook groups, forums etc

3: lot of the products from panini,topps and upperdeck contain them. Only panini and topps have license as of now. Futera also produces cards

4 : 130point.com, ebay and pwcc marketplace.

If you're looking to collect on a budget, you should collect with a focus. Is there a particular player, team, or league you like?

If you target certain players, teams, or sets and buy single cards and groups of cards (lots), you can amass a nice collection without breaking the bank.

Of course, you'll pay more for singles of Messi, Ronaldo, Mbappe, and whatever young players are hot at the time. But even these players are appearing in so many new products that you can find them included in lots for a good price. Especially if you seek out singles and lots of products you like that are a couple years old.

The crowd likes to move on to what's new in the hobby (this is true in all sports), and some very cool products can be forgotten about for a while, only to become popular again much later.

but is there a place where you can buy packs with may include some autographes or materials which do not cost like hunderds of dollars? or are the like hobby boxes etc. the only way to get some in a pack?

this is where you realise it costs thousands and thousands of dollars to MAYBE pull a $5 auto from a box.
