It’s not going to be like the Jordan Last Dance. From the preview it doesn’t seem to paint Tiger in that great of a light. My understanding is that it’s an unauthorized bio, far different from Jordan’s. I’m interested to see it but will be quick to shut it down if it gets too far into the same ole same scandal crap that happened years ago. I see his old caddy Steve is getting quite the time on this show. I still remember when Tiger dropped him and Steve went to Adam Scott who subsequently won the Bridgestone and Steve had the balls to call it “his” best win of “his” career. Dave Chappelle would have appreciated that comedy.

I hear it’s very faithful to the unauthorized biography that came out a couple years ago. I read that, so it’s going to be HEAVY on the scandal & a lot of his personal issues with his dad/family. I just hope they can balance the good with the bad.

Definitely not a Jordan puff piece. This is a man and family with a lot of demons that has been written about ad nauseam. Fascinating person and story and probably the greatest golfer ever but this isn’t gonna help his cards.

Tiger’s agent Mark Steinberg condemns ‘salacious’ new HBO documentary Link to discussion

“Just like the book it is based off of, the upcoming HBO documentary is just another unauthorized and salacious outsider attempt to paint an incomplete portrait of one of the greatest athletes of all-time”

I would imagine ESPN will do a Doc, like the Jordan one fairly quickly. Authorized. However, I love all the different angles of Tiger. He is a polarizing figure and I think its neat that he is being discussed in every direction!

I doubt Tiger authorizes anything. Always been a supremely private person for many reasons. I doubt we ever see a Tiger tell all whether it’s BS or not.

He has kind of opened up over that last several years. And it doesnt look like they were too happy with this one, making me think they will get their version out there... Will see I guess.

Tiger always screamed child movie star to me. He never struck me as a bad person but is probably the product over shitty parents and an abnormal childhood.

It's very well made, with a lot of archival footage from his earliest days.
Looking forward to the conclusion.

Finished Part 2 tonight. Really well done, was emotional at the end seeing him make his comeback. Wish there was more to watch.

GOAT!! I enjoyed it! Shows he is human and made some really bad judgments! Doc really narrated how his father created him! My biggest take is how he can just flip a switch and be done with someone and that’s it no going back!

Really enjoyed it. It was a hit piece, but all legit and deserved. Helps answer a lot of questions about the guy’s makeup. Watching it really makes me appreciate his 2019 Masters victory that much more. Like many of us...his Dad really screwed him up.

Typical re-write of history

It lost me when his father appeared and was explaining what a gift he has given to humanity by "creating" Tiger.

Uggggh
