Worth ordering a few boxes when they release tomorrow?

I know they are unlicensed blah blah blah.... but 8 autos and 2 relics for $100 with a shot at some big prospects seems like a good deal if you want to rip... would think you can get a decent amount back even if you dont pull anyone of note

I also see non-licensed is not recommended. I collected as a kid, sold my collection in college, and am now returning due to the birth of my son in order to build a collection for him. I’ve essentially only bought Bowman Draft. But one or two of these ... sell a Torkelson or Kierstad (sp?) auto if you get one (since no guarantee they make it but are desireable now) and sit on everything else with hope someone pans out, no?

If you haven’t bought yet, you could def buy MANY other products that won’t have likely stifled growth, and need a “special” buyer who doesn’t care about licensing when it’s time to sell.

I prefer it to bowman for PC vandy guys.

They usually have a deeper CL which allows for more fun prospecting.

Also a nice unique item if you’re into IP autos, whenever that happens again.

My understanding is that you never want to sit on Panini prospects because by the time a player starts to get hot, he'll have a Bowman card that makes the Panini card undesirable. That said, I'm not a prospector, so what do I know?

that is starting to change a bit though with newer collectors joining the market

and most of these are in actual college jerseys so its more of a collegiate release (i know, still not as desirable as MLB uni's)

with several on-card autos... i see a fairly decent opportunity to at least break even with a shot at hitting some big names

nothing is for everybody, and that's the beautiful part of collecting!

Absolutely its worth buying - too many people who just care about "how many monies can I make buying beezbull cards???"

Its a fun break, and believe it or not, the autographs on these cards are signed by the exact same people who sign on the Topps cards!

Great way to get an authentic autograph of a player at an affordable price instead of paying bloated Bowman pricing.

Exactly, still a market for these, even if a handful of message board posters want to tell you otherwise.

Collect what you like, not what some guy on Blowout says he likes.

Its no longer the same hobby as it was in the earlier 2000's, many cards are sought after now, not just Topps.

Can't believe these sold out in less than 10 minutes. I wasn't buying any anyway since I do not like this year's design at all.

I know people hate on non licensed stuff and I do understand that as it does ruin the look of the card.... but with how crazy prices are on wax why wouldn't you buy these... I was able to get 5 boxes for $534 delivered. That can't even get you a super jumbo of draft (I love draft BTW) for that... Thats 40 autos!

I decided to buy two. But when they became available on site, it would tell me "We are experiencing high volume, please retry" every time I tried to check out. This lasted for less than 10 minutes. Site now says product is currently available.

8 autos and a chance at some good patches for 100.00?
Absolutely all day every day.
This draft class is stacked and there are some vet autos in there too.
They have been loading their baseball products lately.

For those that got them, any tips for future on ordering online from manufacturer on release day? I was never able to checkout right from the start.

Amen!

I had two in my cart, got to Paypal, and then reconsidered since I have some other stuff I could really use the $215 toward instead. If I catch any retail lying around, I'll probably pick up a couple of those assuming they still have a couple of hits. Good luck to whoever got my two boxes instead!

EEE is a fun break. There is money to be made on key prospects, regardless of the untruths many like to spray on the forums.

A quick look around EBAY will show that first "unlicensed" cards like EEE do indeed retain some value and often can increase. Julio Rodriguez, Luis Robert, Jose Garcia, Ronny Mauricio, Luis Matos, Jasson Dominguez, Marcos Luciano...….... they all have decent value. There are many more.

To some people, making $30-50 on a card isn't enough. They should be proud of their economic prowess. I still enjoy making a $30-50 profit.

Haters hate.

Exactly! It's the same 5 people who have to rip on Panini cards in every topic, it's just juvenile at this point. In this market, these cards have monetary AND entertainment value. Open what you like, these cards have great patches, a fantastic list of names and they are affordable!
