Antonio Gomez (Yankees) & Riley Thompson (Cubs). Sorry the Gomez is blurry - he refused to keep his camera still.

It's crazy. Crazier is same thing has been happening year after year, we complain year after year but nobody bats an eye and it still sells without issue. It needs to end. Look at what the crap players sell for. Those $5 autos that sold for that price years ago when prices were somewhat reasonable are not selling for the same increase in cost of product. In fact they are at or lower. Take Coffey from draft this year. I have seen base sell for as low as $1.90. Yes, a base auto. Sure can jump in cheap in hopes he does something but to buy into breaks, say Houdinis, the starting bid has to be higher and then those that typically bid over what a spot should go for.

It's less fun than it used to be before PR games and the inflation of the buy-in. But that was bound to happen. The smell of optimism when the checklist first starts to be developed on the forums is awfully exciting, though.

Yeah I always buy a couple cases.. I can do around 3k.. but 3750 before we see a checklist is tough.. think I might pass this year..even Dominguez being announced last year didn’t jump it that high

Also here. At least in terms of sealed wax.

But ironically it appears quite labor intensive. Doubt he's able to keep it up.

I think Topps may have blind folded their first signer while signing

Jaypers, any chance we might see Robbie Glendinning get a prospect card this year?

No idea. As I've said before, I find out at the same time as everyone else who has social media.

Here's my personal "best for the hobby" wish list to be in this product, in order:

Austin Martin Tor SS/OF/3B
George Valera Cle OF
Hedbert Perez Mil OF
Christian Hernandez ChC SS
Ha Seong Kim SD SS
Wilman Diaz LAD SS
Hudson Head Pit OF
Luis Rodriguez LAD OF
Maximo Acosta Tex SS
Mick Abel Phi P
Aaron Bracho Cle 2B

I threw the two J15 guys in there even though I think there's just a very, very small chance they have autos before BC at the earliest.

I think Kim is just a small chance too, since he was just signed recently and may eschew having prospect cards altogether.

To be honest I have not read anything about him -- my list runs 50 deep with and additional 20-30 honorable mentions, and he's not on it. That doesn't mean he doesn't deserve to be.

Edit: Read a little. He'd be somewhere in my 30's. There is such a slim path to success for him, as a sub 6-ft 1B who's a plodder on the basepath and has a questionable hit tool. I know most of these guys have a low floor, but his is especially so.
