So sad, I met him multiple times as a child/teen. Was best friends with his nephew Chris. We used to get Pro Set cards autographed by him every year as Valentines gifts Chris.

Greene was my favorite Steeler in the 90's. Very sad to hear this today. This year just can't give it a rest for 10 freaking days

I was a die-hard Los Angeles Rams fan when I was a kid.

Greene was one of my favorite players of all time. The man played with such intensity and was a class act on and off the field.

RIP #91.

My memories of Greene are as the LB coach for the Packers Super Bowl XLV team, he and Clay Matthews celebrating big plays on the sideline will always be my lasting image of him.

This sucks.

I got a season of him as a Niner and he was great. And certainly saw a lot of him when he was a Ram. Relentless.

Was surprised to hear it was him at just 58. He may be one of those few players that many of his ex-teams will honor him.

RIP

This sucks.

There’s a member on this board who has a photo of the two inscribed and autographed by both of the guys in that very game and embrace. That was always so cool to see, and now more so in this tragedy

... so young ... loved to watch him play ... another tenacious LB/DE that never quit ... Must have been a very respected and likeable guy ...

Damn, Kevin Greene was awesome. My first memory of him was in Tecmo Super Bowl being the only Ram defender worth playing as. His play through the 90s was exemplary and seeing him on the Packer sidelines coaching the LBs was fitting with Clay there.

Good family man by all accounts, he will be missed. Damn this hits me.....

The thing I hate the most is no cause of death has been released and I fear the worst, and to me that is that he took his own life. CTE is real, the damage done to so many football players is real. And mental health is no joke. I hope it’s nothing of the sort but with no information released I can’t help but worry that it’s something awful like that.

May he Rest In Peace. Thoughts with his family, friends and many fans.

still remember that 1997 season when him and Woodson joined the 49ers, only to get beat, once again, by Favre and the Packers in the playoffs.

I had this custom made and then sent it off to two different Private Signings to get both guys. I requested only a portion of the inscription Mr. Greene added because I didn't want to seem greedy. He took it upon himself to put the whole thing and I could not have been any happier. I still smile every time I look at this piece.

Found it- all rights of ownership go to OneDerBoy83, one of the coolest autos and inscriptions I've ever seen.
