Default Jarrett Allen - Why No Value?

Jarrett Allen, Center for the Brooklyn Nets, from the famed 2017 rookie class is a really great player, and I’m not saying so only because I am a Nets fan... his stats tell the story. For two years in a row now he has averaged a double-double over the season . I know centers get the least hobby love - but this instance to me, is just ridiculous....
This is clearly not a hype/pump thread either, his prices aren’t going up and even his rare stuff is dirt cheap...
Tell me how a player with this statistics over a few year span, who is young on a hot trending team has numerous easily obtainable SILVER PRIZM ROOKIES UNDER 10?!
Week ago he had a black velocity /39 optic rookie sell for $13
Do I not understand something?

He's a center.

Regardless of if I agree with this or not, name me a player drafted in the past 3 years you would call “an average player” - (must play at least 20 mins a game and/or average 10 pts a game) that has a silver prizm rookie anywhere near $10 or under?

Nikola Jokic, KAT, Joel Embiid, and deandre ayton are centers as well. Their cards are doing pretty decent I’ve heard.

This!

Buy what you like.

If you’re trying to get Rich however don’t buy Jarrett Allen.

Oh. I will. I love his prices being low, I just don’t understand it. I collect all Nets, Durant and Kyrie coming over made my heart happy, but my wallet mad - so it’s nice to pick up really nice stuff cheaply of one of their starters - especially with Leverts stuff steadily going up. Glad I was in with him before the $100 prizm rookies

The hobby is very odd sometimes on who gets "love" and who doesn't. Same with Mitchell Robinson across the river...same type of player...not much love (but more love than Allen!).

He is soft and cannot start over DJ. I like him and have a good bit of his stuff but you’re not going to see his cards move up a lot.

He's a center. Top centers like Jokic and Embiid don't even sell that well. Then, as great as Allen is, he's not a perennial all-star or anything yet. He's more in the range of I don't know..Sabonis, Ibaka, Tyson Chandler type in terms of the card hobby and pricing.

Why does Brad Daugherty cards have no value?

He's an average center. Why would he have much hobby value?

Jarrett Allen is my PC and I couldn't care less if he ever blows up. I love the ability to buy whatever card I want of his for a reasonable price

Prices reflect either: Their on-court production currently OR Their perceived future production.

Allen doesn't have either of those going for him so people aren't spending a lot of money for his cards.

Yup. And the only way they will start dropping money on him is if he stays on the Nets, he is starting (looks like he might be coming off the bench), he puts up better numbers and the Nets look like legit contenders.

The last Jarrett Allen Silver went for $35... and the one before that went for $40...

So...

Even if that happens, nobody is likely to attribute the Nets success to Allen.

He’s in hobby purgatory, which is okay.

The best thing for Allen prices right now would be for him to be a part of a Harden trade (virtually gtd if it happens) and to get to put up some numbers on a new team. Otherwise, he's probably not budging anytime soon

Not really that “decent” compared to their guard contemporaries. Modern Big men historically sell really poorly overall.

He puts up similar/better numbers than DJ... don't buy-in to KD's rhetoric, which seems to be : "He's my friend so he should start" .

I buy his cards because of his impressive fro. One of these days it'll have a stat line of it's own.
