So this is the US version of Shiny Star V. Seems likely to have the shiny Charizard VMAX in it, and then the hunt will be on anew. The rest of the set is much, much, muuuuuch better than CP, so if it does have the shiny VMAX, I expect the prices to get bananas on this (even if it is 1 Charizard vs 2 in CP.)

Nice! Bought two of the Japanese versions and they were quite fun to rip. The Shiny full arts have to be some of my favorite card designs. Two different patterns depending on angle of light. Would have bought more but wanted to wait on US version. High hopes for these and will be on look out for preorders from here and there. I take it there won't be boosters for these?

No, it's another set like CP.

I ordered two ETB's last night from a card shop online, after 30 minutes they pulled they page. Not sure if the orders will be honored, a majority of the North American shops are holding back on pre-orders due to allocation.

I pre-ordered an ETB at $49.99 a piece, the Pikachu Promo box was $19.99. Another online store said they were going to list the ETB's at $65, it's going to vary.

That should keep me busy for a few hours in Feb/March.

Anyone else hit up gamestop for preorders yet? Stopped by and Ultimate collection was one of choices. What might that consist of? I've seen the Tins, Mad party, pikachu V, Minis & Etbs online but not the ultimate collection.

I forgot that one. Saw that as well. I dont think its this because she seemed unsure of it unlike the others which she named, and it was $49.99 not 39.99.
Either way Ill take it if i can get it.

Scratch that. I think you could be right. Cause looking at receipt, it says ultimate collection.

From what I understand, GS sometimes prices a bit higher at first but then will readjust right before release.

Not surprising. DACW opened at 50% over MSRP also, and didn't even offer any cases.

After initially seeing them out of stock here I checked out DA as well and saw same. Welp, I guess its off to more gamestops for me tomorrow and hope I get them reasonably close to release and in quantities I preorder.

I would definitely be fading this at $85/ETB. As we've seen with CP, TPC is going to keep printing them as long as demand is at that level.

Fates is a unique brand though..... if you rip in quantity you always cover the cost at msrp. That can’t be said for any other release in at least the last 6 or so years. People saw what happened with hidden fates singles prices.... I feel like this will be even bigger. Add in the grading aspect and I could easily see people willing to pay and expecting a nice profit after grading at 135-150 per etb
