Wow.. big news. What do you think it will do to the value of PSA cards? Anything?

If this is true, this is GREAT news because Nat knows what the industry is about and can clean it up.

But does this mean they are possibly taking it private? Is that something you can do? I don't know how this stuff works. I think it would be bad if the company is no longer public. Less accountability.

No, but maybe it’ll be run by people that are more efficient and faster now.

Nat Turner has a very awesome PSA collection and he is very knowledgeable about Grading as well as the Hobby Industry. It is refreshing to see someone who is both passionate about grading and business be a big stake holder in PSA.

This guy huh... Nat Turner - blowout's fav high roller. The guy who lead by example in buying a trimmed Jordan PMG for a record price from the most unethical business in the industry, PWCC.

Lets hope instead of his own selfish interests he can do something positive for the hobby and clean up the debacle that is PSA grading. Leave a lasting legacy for collectors...

People enjoy "washing his balls" because he's an actual collector who shares his experiences with us and treats people with respect. No reason to be a hater just because the guy worked his ass off and made a lot of money.

Hmmm...so I guess his PSA collection will get even bigger, better and be filled with black label 10s now.

Wow....just wow. I don't think it's that people like wash his balls, I think it's the fact that it's not just some other guy that just has a bunch of money. Instead it's some guy that has a bunch of money that understands the industry and has interacted on this very forum prior to the hobby becoming more mainstream....

Yeah, like others say, prob a good thing that someone like Nat who clearly loves the hobby, has tons of knowledge about the industry, and is very business savvy (I presume), bought the company.

Yes with PE firms involved and the buyout being 75 per share they will more than likely be taking CU private. My guess is all CU shareholders received a form asking if they wanted to sell at 75 per share and the majority said yes. My company has gone from PE owned not traded to owned by Qualcomm Life and being publicly traded back to PE owned and private.

Very interesting. For starters there is no way Joe Orlando should remain CEO. Can't be a clean company with him at the helm.

A customer buying a company that has subjective grading, sounds like it will be legit.

I think this is great for PSA. But i also don't think its a coincidence PSA is selling out just as the Certified Collectibles Group is jumping into the sports card market. They're a well run and well funded group positioned to take a chunk out of the existing grading market (despite their ugly flips).

Honestly, I think Nat is one of those few guys who really doesn’t care much about the grade as long as he has the card.

David Hall, the original owner of PSA, had to sell his entire collection, including a high grade 1952 Topps baseball set, as he wanted to avoid potential conflicts. I wonder whether Nate will do this as well.
