Default Star Wars Autograph Universe lands Natalie Portman

Pretty big announcement here.

https://swau.com/blog/natalie-portma...cAzdIROTCIMFO4

Now here is hoping Topps can do the same for cards.

Just hope they're reasonable with the price and don't go too overboard.

They piggyback oftentimes on signings, so have to assume this is a lock Topps is getting in on these. W/ signing date for next summer, could be a big run for next years Stellar and MW

Yeah no hints on the pricing leaves it wide open. Currently her books are around $200.

Cant see the signing being under $500, but probably closer to $1,000.

Wonder if there’s a Star Wars up charge or if the items don’t matter

Also, this puts a lot of pressure on Topps now as they couldn’t land her, but a fan group can?

Off-topic, but I can imagine now that they might be able to get Robert Downey Jr. for a paid signing before companies like Upper Deck and Topps do (save for Rittenhouse).

I honestly wouldn't be shocked if they are more than $1k... and they'll still sell out. I don't think there's a more in-demand signer from the Star Wars Universe.

Celebrities will skip the autograph hounds because they know those guys are not fans. If Topps cannot get her to sign then it's the same idea. It makes sense that she would want to be associated with a fan group versus a greedy corporate entity.

Swau puts of the big bucks to get these signings. Topps is cheap but hopefully they piggyback and have her for next years stellar. Would make sense.

Andy commented on FB that it’s not as bad as people are speculating so I guess we’ll see come Friday. Not sure why they aren’t giving a range now and who knows if there’s a cut off or limit. People may need to act fast.

My guess is that with work really slow in Hollywood due to COVID, money is money.

I bet she has all the money she'll ever need, maybe just wanted something to do for a few weeks. Fun problem to have...

Definently not for money, she's fine. Don't forget she's got Love and Thunder coming. Wouldn't shock me if a portion is going to charity. Doesn't Ford mainly sign to donate profits to charity?

I could see spots being VERY limited. Knowing how hesitant she’s been in the past, do we really see her signing more than a hundred or so items?

I looked, but couldn't find his comment... just a lot of him telling people that the price will be on the site Friday.

She did sign a ton of stuff to promote Fables this year which shocked me given her past reluctance to sign. My estimate might be high, but I'm guessing 7,000+ items (indie books, event "plates," publisher prints, and now B&N BF - which with 600+ stores could easily mean 3000 more books).

There are a few theoretical upsides for her to change her signing-habits. By doing a private signing like this: she makes a lot of money for charity or whatever (might be $1000/per?), she at least appears to embrace a fandom that she wants to support her new Thor stuff, and she doesn't have to actually deal with weirdos face-to-face like she would at a Con signing.

...But I'm also completely talking out of my a** and just excited to see what the price will be on Friday.

SWAU is thrilled to announce that we will be conducting an exclusive private autograph signing with Hayden Christensen! This will be the third time that Christensen is signing for the SWAU.

Christensen is an actor and producer, and is best known for his role as Anakin Skywalker in the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy. Among his other roles, he is known for his work in Shattered Glass, Awake, Jumper, and the television series Higher Ground. For his work as Skywalker, he won a Saturn Award for Best Actor, and the Cannes Film Festival Revelation Award.

In the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy, Christensen co-starred with Natalie Portman, with whom SWAU is also conducting an exclusive private autograph signing. This is the first time ever that these two stars have been signing at the same time, making it the perfect opportunity to order both actors and complete your multi-signed items.

Christensen will be signing items from his entire career, with personalization, character name and quote options available to purchase! SWAU will be offering pre-orders for officially licensed Star Wars photos, action figures, and posters. All pre-orders will come with our tamper-proof SWAU hologram.

“SWAU is also pleased to announce that we will be offering CGC Signature Series for this signing. Details on how to purchase CGC services will be available on the order pages.”

Hope the price is reasonable. I have a Thor comic that’s signed by Hemsworth. Would look great with her signature too.

11x14 signed photo with her character name and the quote I wanted would have been $2300

I’ll stick with my signed book and have a custom card made instead.
