LA dodgers prospects

Hello all,

I purchased my first pack of cards in about 20 years yesterday and I ended up pulling a 2020 Bowman Kody Hoese gold auto 18/50. I have done a little research and it looks like he was their 1st round pick last year #25 overall. Any Dodger fans out there that can give me the lowdown on this players progress/potential? I live in KC so we don't get to much news on the Dodgers out here being an A.L. city. Trying to decide what to do with card, make a quick buck now or gamble that he makes the bigs. Recent sales of this card have been between $10-$40 range, reemerging collector just looking for some advice. Thank you all.

He's still only 23, but isn't as heralded in the Dodgers system as many other guys. Not having a year of minor league play for him will no doubt slow his development this year, as he just didn't show much power last year. For now, he's stuck behind Turner and Rios at third, but if Turner leaves in free agency, he might get a shot next year if he shines during spring training.

It’s paper and a 2nd year prospect card. His estimate is in range...

Also, the card is about $20 until may/june 202?????? whenever. If there is spring next year the card will be $50 but still not a 2019 1st BCA.

Yes, it is an autograph, numbered 18/50

You are correct, I do have google and there is some stuff out there about Kody. I was more looking for a fan perspective and how much fan excitement there was for this player. Here in KC we have players that can be Googled, stats can be looked at, and the talking heads on T.V./radio can be listened to but they do not give you the feel that excited fans can. I would be glad to share what I would hope is my cities feelings on some of our prospects. I am looking at this from the point of view that we can all help each other out and get into cards for pennies on the dollar before they become stars. For example Tyler Zuber is a player often talked about here that does not get much national attention but fans here are very excited about the kid and I will be on the look out for his cards when they become available in the hope that he becomes something. Spending what I hope will be a few pennies for a bigger payoff.
