Default New stickers vs. Old stickers

Hi guys, I'm not sure if this has been covered so apologies if this is a duplicated thread.

As the soccer card market is clearly going nuts, I can't help but feel a sense of confusion regarding stickers and the value they bring to the hobby from an investment perspective.

I can understand a sticker from 30 or 40 years ago having value due to the scarce nature and supply of key players but I cannot understand how a Haaland or a Ansu rookie graded 10 is selling for hundreds possibly tipping the $1k mark when you can find a bucket load of raw stickers online (mass production + easy target for fake copies). I can't see a rookie sticker in 2020 beyond holding really much value.

Not sure what this means or how the discussion goes, but keen for some thoughts.
