Thoughts on XRP? Present and future?

Personally don't have any real insight into XRP other than to say a buddy of mine has been into it for awhile and done a ton of research and claims it's nearing a BIG run. According to him along the lines of 10x. To me it's flexibility to move internationally with low fees is a huge benefit and I'm certain there are more. I threw a $2k at it last week at .29 and will ride it out for awhile. Lord knows I've blown $2k in worse places.

Market cap dictates it will never do 10x.
Third most expensive coin.
Comparing to eth it has far smaller community.
Overall I see limited upside. Much better options in alt land.

I agree with your friend. Someone else said that a 10x is not possible given its market cap, but it has been over 10x higher than now previously. I think it's too early to know which coins will last in the long run, though bitcoin as the king crypto almost certainly will remain prominent in the industry. As a general rule, it's best to stick to projects with funding and use-cases. I think the safest ones are bitcoin and Ethereum, and I like Cardano as a riskier coin with potentially more upside.

Also, none of the above is financial advice. This is merely my opinion.

I am sharing this with EVERYONE here to try to change as many lives as possible

EVERY American should hold 1000 XRP at least

It is better than ZERO

You do not know what is about to happen

GET 1000 XRP at least and forget about it.

Sign up for a Uphold account here and you can buy or sell XRP

The worst thing will be having ZERO XRP in the coming year

Just my 2 cents, I am NOT a financial advisor

Looks like it's gone parabolic in the last 2 weeks or so. Be careful.

I like XRP and have owned some since the big boom in December 2018...? I sold after it boomed then bought back in some months ago in the high teens low .20's.. nice to see the gains, but I like XRP as a long term altcoin and will continue to hold.

I got out of crypto for a while when it tanked but I'm slowly back in. XRP has always been one of my favorites because of its speed and low transaction fees. To me Bitcoin and Ethereum have no practical use because of these two problems. Even though XRP is a lot different and facing legal problems I get this feeling its going to be the main crypto someday even if the powers that be don't want that. At 30 cents it's worth the risk. If it crashes next week I'll probably buy some more.

XRP will be pumped, possibly to a new high on Feb 1. It may never go below 30 cents again.

Exactly. It's value comes from it's utility, not how many people own it.

I envision a world running on XRP soon.

Now at .62 cents

100 XRP is better than 0 XRP, especially if this goes where I think it's going.

Oh and the SEC Lawsuit against XRP is total BS. It'll be resolved shortly and then they'll go after other coins leaving XRP free to lead the way.

Although the price has gone up, 100 XRP is still better than 0.

XRP isn't going to rise, it's going to blast off to the MOON and when it does, it'll happen with a flip of a switch. Overnight while you're sleeping. You want your bags packed before blastoff.

Think of XRP this way, as a Pre-IPO coin for the new financial system. You'll be glad you did.

Having same mood about this coin. But I think that it is not ok if SEC can sue a cryptocurrency. Just imagine if they could sue, say, Bitcoin nonesense. What is suspicious about XRP that too many coins belong to a few people.

Who's going to represent Bitcoin if they do get sued?

How could Bitcoin be sued? There is no company. There is no security offering and no executives are using Bitcoin to illegally conduct financial operations

Do you understand why Ripple is being sued?

You can’t “sue” a cryptocurrency but you can sue a company that breaks financial laws

Yes I do, completely, and that's why I continue to buy it.

Based on this response it seems the answer to my question was actually “no”

That's how they're getting sued - XRP is not decentralized, it's "Ripple's" (a company's) token - they're getting sued for improper sale of securities, and it is a textbook example (coins will be worthless unless they get the best lawyer on the planet, just wish mine would go away- sick of looking at them)

Yep, and based on the cult like responses from some XRP holders they don’t quite understand what this actually means.
