I know this has been asked several times before but I would really like a good explanation from someone at BO. What is the harm in letting someone change their username? I have sent a request three times over the past several years only to be met with radio silence.
I don't see a way in which this could lead to any fraudulent activity. Mods have the ability to nail PBM so what harm could a username change do? Maybe limiting a username change to just once within a given time period could be an option? |

The only way we will consider a username change is for legitimate privacy reasons.

So what about requesting to have an account closed and creating a new one?
