If you had ~ $750 to spend on a rookie of any of these players, who would you go for? Which specific rookie?
Maybe LeBron seems like the obvious choice, and a lot will depend on if he can win a title with LA this year or next year. Steph and KD seem to be in very similar situations as both are coming back from injuries that had them out a long time, and are both on pretty subpar teams at present. Personally, I don't think the KD/Kyrie experiment will work in BK, but I'd love to be wrong. I'm not sold on Zion yet, but being able to get his prizm rookie in a PSA10 for $600ish might one day seem like an absolute steal if he lives up to his potential. Or maybe the answer is Luka. I'm torn. |

Zion highest potential barring injury. Luka best team on big market with great coach and teammates. I think Luka Is the safest bet.

Sounds like this is about the best investment?
KD is underpriced. But do you like him? I'd go for the player you like the most. Personally, Zion will go up in the short term nexy great game he has.

Lebron is the safest but is already far and away the biggest buy in. Steph was a bargain up until a couple months ago but he’s safe as well. Besides the obvious brands, Durant is still undervalued in my opinion.
I’d be a little careful with Luka. His prices are nearing Lebron levels. Don’t get me wrong, I love him and own plenty of his rcs but it’s scary to pay these prices for any 21 year old. I think Zion is the safest short term bet in basketball. Some of his prices are half of what Luka is going for. It doesn’t matter what happens in Orlando. His hype alone leading into next year will continue to make his cards trend sky high. Long term is anyone’s guess. My long term pick is Giannis. A proven MVP (probably 2 time). He is a generational talent. Needs to win some rings but I have no doubt he’ll get a few.

Durant and Kyrie are so undervalued and underpriced at the moment. But the most undervalued of all time has to be Duncan.

Steph - already has 3 rings, drafted by the Warriors, defined an era, team will be full force next season, prices were depressed due to the injury and down year.

It's both investment and PC. I like all of the players listed. AI is my favorite player of all time, and I mostly collect him and Knicks rookies (bums), but I want some current superstars also. I'm a big fan of talent in the game in general so I love LeBron, Curry, KD, Kawhi and so on. I'm very close to sold on Luka but not yet.

I'd purchase in the order you presented in your title.
1. LeBron: Already cemented his legacy and is a top 2 all-time player. Risk: None 2. Curry: Greatest shooter of all-time. Changed the game. Imagine all the elementary aged children who eventually enter the hobby and want to pick up his cards when they have disposable income in the future. Risk: None 3. KD: Undervalued but don't exactly know what we'll get post-injury. A little risk but should hopefully be okay. Still needs to win one on his own (aka not through joining a super team) and I'm not sure him/Kyrie will be able to do it. Risk: Low 4. Zion: Generational talent but will his knees hold? His rookie stuff is priced high. Risk: High 5. Ja/Luka: These two are priced high. Luka has the better trajectory as of now. Risk: Medium Not sure if you meant Luka instead of Ja (in the title, you wrote "Ja" but in the thread, you wrote "Luka"). Honestly, I'd go with a serial-numbered LeBron/Curry/KD (in that specific order) for $750. |

Better buy this one before I do. I already got one and I am considering getting another one.

But I'm leaning very heavily toward the Curry Bowman Blue in an 8/8.5 or a Lebron Topps White Suit. |

I'd take the $750 and buy sure fire HOF guys who can be had for a fraction of the cost currently:
CP3 Harden Westbrook You can have a really nice collection of the 3 with the money you'd dump into a Luka/Zion/Ja. |

Buy what you like. Just like your question about choosing between PSA or BGS grading. Choose the one you like the best. Who cares what anyone else likes you're paying for it.
