Default Question about 86/87 fleer

So I have an opportunity to purchase a sealed box of 86/87 fleer, but I don't know what other cards in the box might be worth anything besides the jordan rookies. Does anybody know what else could make this box worth the huge price tag or is it just the Jordan?

Theres a bunch of rookies worth while that year - you just have to get some that will be gradely pretty high to get a good decent amount of $. You get Drexler/Barkley/Olajuwon/Thomas/Ewing etc. Was that you that brought it on ebay for a little over 1G? Not bad if you hit a jordan or two

Any of those star rookies graded at 9s and 10s can bring big money.

Just make sure it isn't actually "sealed", because they didn't come that way. Read this before you buy. Sorry for posting another box retailers site, but it is good info.

Also, cards that are every 11th card if graded high can get more than some stars. The reason is these were extremely hard to find in a 9+ due to the process at the factory.

outrageous amount of RCs
Jordan, Isaiah, Ewing, Drexler, KMalone, Olajuwon, Barkley, Dumars, Spud Webb and Manute Bol

not rookies = Dr J, Magic, Bird, Kareem

2 years later = Pippen, Miller, Stockton RCs

plus Chris Mullin
and stickers too

with that said, I would only buy a box if I say it pulled from a sealed case by a reputbale dealer with my own eyes

I would NEVER buy a pack

the article says each box should make 3 completed sets?? is that true or am i reading it wrong, as if it is true that means you will get 3 Jordan rookies and 3 of all those other guys listed above!

Even some common cards can go for thousands if graded due to manufacture defects, one that comes to mind is the Jeff Malone..

I believe it's 3-4 sets.. We once had a group break on one of these boxes and got 4 Jordan Rookies..

Unless you are buying from a legit dealer, the 1986 Fleer have a known sequence in which packs have a Jordan (you can see the front/back cards through the wrapper), so it is very likely the box has been cherry picked and the Jordans are gone.
