Default Anybody keep their MLB.TV subscription through the delayed start?

When COVID-19 started to threaten the MLB season I saw at least a few people on blowout were canceling their subscriptions. I decided to stick with my subscription as I have a discount on it and it wasn't crazy expensive.

Now that baseball is set to start in late July, I wanted to know if anyone else has kept their subscriptions and if they've heard of any partial refunds/perks for not canceling.

I kept mine as well. I've heard nothing about partial refunds or anything. Admittedly, I haven't really thought about it much. I was merely hopeful they'd credit for next year (full or partial) at least, but I'm not holding out hope for them to do the right thing!

Yea, I honestly forgot for a while as well until the news came out that they agreed to a 60 game season. Like you said, a credit next year would be nice but it's hard to see them caring about what their customers think after watching how the labor dispute went.

Kept mine. Haven’t heard a word from them. If the season isn’t carried out, I’ll get my money back.

Nope, cancelled it and will re-subscribe once they offer it at a steep discount.

i paid for the year before COVID was really a thing. Hopefully there will be some sort of refund coming given we are getting less than half the games we would normally get.

they should remove the blackout restrictions but they won't because too many teams own their regional network and get lots of money from that so they need people watching YES and NESN rather than MLB.tv

FYI looks like they are giving refunds if requested. I emailed customerservice@website.mlb.com requesting to be cancelled/refunded and got an immediate response in 30 seconds saying my refund would be processed.

I've gotten my MLB TV subscription from TMobile Tuesday every year. They didn't offer it yet with everything shut down, so hopefully they offer it here soon.

I just wish it came with MLB Network as my cable provider dropped it due to MLB Network asking for too much in carriage fees.

I was going to keep just to be able to watch old world series games. Once I realized most of the World Series vault in on youtube, was a no brainer to cancel.

Thanks for posting this, guess I'm just going to wait until they release the schedule. My guess is they'll just up the monthly price and tell everyone who bought the season to kick rocks but as an out of market fan I really have no choice I guess.

Just got the email...

"We have updated the price of your 2020 MLB.TV Yearly subscription to reflect the 2020 60-Game MLB Schedule. Your updated 2020 MLB.TV Yearly subscription price will be $45.18, a difference of $76.81 from your original price of $121.99. As a subscriber, you have the option to receive $76.81 as either a credit toward your 2021 subscription or as a 2020 partial refund. Subscribers are eligible to request a partial refund for their 2020 season subscription until August 31, 2020.

To receive a credit toward your 2021 subscription, there is no action required. A $76.81 credit will be applied to your 2021 subscription price on or around March 1, 2021 as part of annual renewals."

Works for me... I'll just take the credit toward next year's subscription!!!

I'd imagine that is the DirecTV packaged version of the same thing. I'd also imagine any full/partial refunds would be managed by DirecTV as well. I'd probably contact DirecTV and ask, "Hey, I see MLB is giving their direct customers the option of a partial refund or 2021 credit... what are you doing?"
