PSA moving much faster now...

Mailed my “Economy order” 3/20/20 day before they announced they were shutting down due to COVID-19

PSA received my package 3/23/20

PSA logged my order in the system 5/7/20 (they were closed month of April due to COVID-19)

PSA started processing my order 5/18/20

Grades were available today 5/22/20

Will get cards next week.

Roughly a 2 month turnaround for “economy” even though the representative told me last week it would take up to 80 business days.

So there hope after all.

I will say this. They are grading much harder and only 4 of my 15 cards got PSA 10’s however the 4 that got 10’s were the most expensive cards of the group I sent so I’m not complaining!

I also found it interesting the 4 that graded 10 were the lowest population of the 15 cards I sent in... control the pop report theory?

Also 2 of the 4 PSA 10’s were BGS 9’s that I broke out and resubmitted so that’s a pleasant surprise.

Will show them when I get them in.

They dont do anything in order, I have orders from Feb-March getting done before an order I sent in November. All the same Service.....

When do they enter the certificate numbers? Have a 15 card order sitting at the making sure no defects stage.

They started processing my order on Thursday. It has been fast just excited as this has my Zion silvers in this submission.

By BGS 9s that crossed you really mean 9.5s that had all 9.5s and some 10s, particularly in corners because PSA corners are perfect amirite?

I had a Bulk and Economy received on 3/16... both made it to Research & ID before the shutdown and both have remained there since

I don’t believe they ever “closed”. I saw people saying they were getting notifications in April from PSA. I could be wrong though.

Josh has talked about vague changes PSA has planned to improve the backlog. At the end of the quarter, there was a million items backlogged at PSA. That is stunning. In the next few years, you will see PSA overtake PCGS in volume and revenue. As the gap between raw and gem continues to widen, I expect a bigger price hike next year for all service levels.

The two bgs 9’s I had cross were

LeBron James prizm fanatics green ice has 9.5 x3 and 8.5 on surface

Grades popped. I am done with this hobby after this. All my zions graded 9. Sent a Giannis rc with a dinger corner, came back a 9. What an absolute joke of a company. Only sent them in because my wife bought me a voucher for Christmas

I truly believe they are trying to keep the pop report down on heavily sent in cards like key prizm rookies.

I have almost 1000 cards in with them and those date back to end of 2019 and some still not touched yet, one is in "grading" for almost a month... Who knows

They are. I looked those cards over with a loupe and have never had all 9's come back. Sent in a hyper that was beautiful. 9 as all other hypers.

I've had 3 orders pop in the last 3 weeks.

-First one was 15/17 10s, including 2-3 cards that were previously submitted by me and graded 9s, but I knew they were solid
-Second order was my worst ever 5/15 10s
-Third was a economy order of cards that I sent because I didn't think they would grade out, just hoping I'd get 1 10 to pay for it. Went 2/5 and am thilled about it.

So yea, very hit or miss for me.

The grading premium on psa 10s is crazy considering how random it all seems to be. The amount of cracking and resubmitting going on right now has to be ridiculous.

I’ve had a strange experience with PSA in regards to this years releases. 8/25 cards have gotten 10s, whereas the same type of cards (Prizm and Optic) sent to BGS I’ve gotten 42/46 9.5s and 4 9s. Makes me hesitant to send to PSA if I’m going to just keep getting almost all 9s.

I sent in an economy order got there 4/21, shipped yesterday 5/22 I was kind of shocked.

Not bad results either.

That's why BGS are worth so much less than PSA
